I’m not that big a comic book guy so I actually had to look up where this tattoo came from.  This piece by Albert Conor from Nautica in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, is inspired from the comic “The Darkness”, specifically a cover by Dave Keown and Richard Isanove.  You can check out the original art here, and be sure to check out the galleries for more comic book inspired images.
