A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother.

I can definitely see the resemblance here.  This photo was titled “Mother Tattoo” and was inked by Ryan Hadley out of Ryan Hadley Studio in Fort Wayne, Indiana.   (The quote I used in this title is attributed to Abe Lincoln.)

deab, well then I guess it’s a good thing that the tattoo is on her and not you.

i wouldn’t want a picture of a dead parent of mine on me, either. but it looks amazing.
    and she’s super pretty.
the lettering tattoo looks really nice too.

Thanks for all the comments guys. The photo was taken for a tattoo exhibit, so the photographer was trying to get the whole “daughter/mother” vibe. Granted, it was my first tattoo and I wanted to get a portrait of someone I wouldn’t ever regret getting. She isn’t dead, though. She just means a lot to me and had to go through a lot to get to America from Vietnam during the war.

I do get “Is that a portrait of you?” on your arm almost everyday. Even though it gets annoying, I don’t regret it for a minute.
