About being a featured boy: This event is open to all BME Boys age 18 and over. Boys of all shapes, sizes and race are encouraged to submit pictures. Contestants can be dressed or nude, but nothing too pornographic will be featured. Pictures need to be of decent quality, lest the readers condemn me to hell for posting webcam shots. Agreeing to be involved is consenting to be featured in the calendar, if you are selected for it. If you want to suggest someone, feel free to do so. I will contact them and see if they are interested, but no one will be featured without their explicit approval.
About voting: Votes will be tallied by emailing [email protected], just make the subject “Vote (insert name of the guy you choose)” and your vote will be tallied. Votes will be anonymous, there is no reason for anyone to know who voted for whom and how many votes each girl got. This isn’t about competition, it’s about a fun, interactive way to get the readers involved in the selection process.
About Commenting: I am enforcing a strict ZERO TOLERANCE policy for negative comments about the boys. They are being kind enough to share themselves with us and to help BME make a calendar, they should not have to fear public ridicule. Negative comments will be deleted, if we have a repeat offender, all of their future modblog comments will be sent to moderation. This isn’t about censorship, it’s about common courtesy and respect.

Ian, I don’t think i’ve ever heard you say something non offensive so I don’t think too many people care about your opinion. And Siren, I would equally love to see Ian in the calendar just to see the comments he gets.

i can’t wait to see both calendars portray the diversity of the mod community. if we are voting on the person then we need to see more of them to make a viable decision(minimum of three shots of various pose and angle).
I’d say the photo you showed shows someone obsessed with their body and someone totally off putting.
Its just another form of body mod. too bad you cant see that and think its something to look down upon.

Also, why do people take things so seriously? Where’s the fun in life if you can’t take the piss out of it, especially out of yourself. This seems to happen every time I get modblogged and have a ridiculous photo posted. As a photographer I tend to take a lot of silly/ridiculous photos because it’s rather hilarious/amusing and I don’t take myself very seriously, not because I’m narcissistic and vain. Besides, if you actually looked at my page before passing judgment (I though we we’re supposed to be an open minded community on BME) you would have probably figured all of that out on your own.
That being said, I’m stoked to be featured on a page with some fine other gentlemen and thanks to everyone who enjoyed the post.

Ian, i’m not putting you down because of your body at all. I would love to have MORE diversity amongst the guys and even show transgendered amongst each group. I’m plainly saying that we are all a bit tired of getting put down. If anyone has been featured on modblog there has been someone who has said something nasty but why do we need to go out of our way to do it constantly? It’s the only presence I have noticed you show which is why I singled you out. I would hope you can take it light in the future.
And as for being obsessed with my body, isn’t this entire site about expressing how one is connected to their body? I would be surprised if someone expressed complete lack of interest in their body yet were an active part of bme. Not exactly sure what you were trying to say with that one…
you miss the comments where i tell people their tattoos are cool, where i say i find certain girls pretty. People tend to focus on only the negative they see, without ever seeing the positive. I have never put everyone down. please. that’s easily an overstatement.
I like what i like, I don’t what I don’t, and I have a voice for my opinion. the vast majority of modblog posts i never even comment on. seriously. take a deep breath and readjust how you’re choosing to selectively see my posting.
And for everyone else that thinks that I’d get slammed being on Modblog.. I’ve been on here already what, like 5 or more times? no biggie. no worries. You’ll notice I idnt once say anything negative about any of the guys above, more that I’d just like to see some more muscular men. I’m not attracted to skinny boys. 😉

Ian, as long as you aren’t bald, and your hair is at least this length shown in the pic, it makes you sexier than being bald. I can’t explain it, but I love the way your hair has that natural wave, like it isn’t styled purposely but it ends up looking like that when it dries. 😉

I fully agree with ian. Everyone has their right to look how they want and thats fine but there is drastically more males featured with more of a feminine bod type. I too would prefer to see more muscular men used as its the look i try for everyday and find to be the exact LOOK of a MAN. To each their own and i hope the male calendar does as well as it seems the female one will.
