When the discussion about the trickiest piercings each of had done came up in the IAM: Learning Piercing forum, where we mentioned the uvula piercing, and Seth D. mentioned a 3 point orbital he had done. Well, that discussion had me feature a uvula piercing here, but I didn’t think to feature the orbital. Then I ran across it when perusing the galleries looking for possible features and damn was I impressed! Regular 2 point orbitals are a technical piercing, but this 3 point orbital is a master piece.
For 2 different perspectives on this piercing, keep on keeping on.

One of the most striking piercings I’ve ever seen. Great work, Seth.

I can’t imagine how much this hurt, but it is worth it! It’s just beautiful

Lovely!
If they weren’t such a bitch to heal I would get an orbital, but I don’t have the patience to deal with sore, take-forever-to-heal ears.

It looks like it would be hard to heal and really uncomfortable to sleep with though.

Actually Caleigh, because the jewelry lies parallel to her head it doesn’t bother her at all any more. She says it was a little sore for the first month or so, but as of now (9 months into healing) it doesn’t really even bother her to sleep on it. The cool thing about this piercing is that it’s completely tucked up within the ear, so there isn’t really any jewelry hanging out to get hit or snagged on.

Thats good to know! I have had my conche’s punched for over a year now and they STILL bother me. I have always had issues with anything other than my tragus and lobes when it came to ear piercings. I find them so uncomfortable 🙁

now that is some good handiwork right there! i don’t think id even attempt something like this yet, unless if it were on a good friend maybe…id like to know if it was pierced altogether with one piece of jewelry or pierced separately and then connected when it was healed. when i do 2 point orbitals i usually will wait until they are healed to connect them with one piece of jewelry.

ps: 1970-something called it wants it’s trite, lame-ass catch phrase back.
pss: the 21st century left a voicemail, for fuck’s sake!!! quit with the goddamn keep on keepin on.
it was old and tired 30 years ago. (which would be the 1980′s btw)

Seth, i noticed that your location/place of business was absent from the post. Would you mind telling us where you work out of? If I’m close enough, I would like to get piercing work done by you, as this looks fantastic.

This I like! I would do something like this if I didn’t wear hearing aids. Oh well, I still like my rook to forward helix or earhead, whichever term you prefer.
