A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Upside down, you’ve got me.

Joao is contributing to my new found love and fascination with Brasil. This shot is from Petropolis, if I’m reading that right because google is being a jerk and telling me it doesn’t exist.

how much scarring can you expect from doing a suspension? enough so that getting a tattoo over it would be unsightly/impossible? can you ruin an existing tattoos noticeably ?

It really depends on the person. I’ve seen people who look like they’ve had a horrendous case of the chickenpox from all the suspensions they’ve done and others where you can’t tell they’ve suspended at all but it is definitely not advisable to put suspension hooks through tattoos because you’re going to damage the tattoo.

arcadetoken: Tip your artist very generously and they may be more likely to touch up a tattoo with a few little suspension scars in it.
