A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

We’re Out For Blood

New Rule: I do not like Motley Crue. I do not think I have ever intentionally listened to one of their songs all the way through. I would like to see Tommy Lee slathered with delicious chestnut honey and chained to a tree in Death-Bear National Park. With that said? The Dirt is one of the most entertaining musical memoirs ever written, and if you commit to an entire goddamn (and surprisingly well-done) backpiece dedicated to these train-wrecks, well, you get featured on ModBlog, friend.

I love Motley Crue, one of the best pieces ive seen as a tribute to a band. Been thinking about getting them all (exactly as they are on the Too Fast For Love vinyl) around my leg.

That strikes me as a lot of unprovoked animosity towards Motley – what aren’t you disclosing here Jordan? 😉 It is one thing to not care for their music as a matter of personal taste but you’re really after them here for some intense suffering sans apparent motivation.

What else are strippers gonna dance to?

The only thing I like about this backpiece is the “Motley Crüe” typing. Not an MC fan myself, but I like how the letters “roll” over his upper back …

I agree, the only thing I like about it is the “Motley Crüe”. should have gone to someone who is actually good at portraits. wish I had something nice to say, but this is just horrible. if the person is happy with it, eh whatever.

Shame its such a shit tattoo, if they’re actually big fans.

I don’t listen to MC, but their music is ok for me, but this back piece… I don’tlike it… It’s looks like “in progress”. I don’t feel that this is good ended backpiece.

The crue logo looks cool but yeah, the faces are really badly done.

I don’t listen to MC, but their music is okay for me. Did you serious just say that?
Let me respond with, “I have NEVER eaten ice cream, but it is fucking good.”

Also, is that supposed to be fire… or a pastel drawing that resembles fire?

Like the top “Mötley Crüe” writing.

The rest is pure, almost perfect, failure.

    @ 12:
It’s not like saying that at all! It’s more like saying you don’t drink Coke, but you’ll take one if someone offers you one ….

oh wow I did’nt even notice that, I don’t see how anyone could honestly look at this and say this is “suprisingly well done” the only thing I’m suprised about is how modblog can justify posting this garbage

    @21

I’m surprised this is on modblog too…I guess because it’s a huge band tribute?
I personally think that the text at the top looks great, nice heavy lines and crisp. Must have been done by a different artist than the rest of it. The “portraits” aren’t well done at all, neither are the flames or the “Red Hot” by the bottom. Though I sympathize – I too have a large band tattoo (not back piece sized, but still pretty big) and the more I look at it the more I can see little things that don’t look right, but I’ve learned to live with it 🙂
