A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

You Are Evolution

As you’re all likely aware, whenever we come across modified professionals, we like to give them a little spotlight—it’s important for both members of the community as well as the “mainstream” to know that visible piercings, tattoos or anything else need not keep a skilled person from forging a particular career path. Well, up top there is Kasha, who, as you can see, has all manner of facial piercings, but hasn’t let that stop her from reaching her goal of being some sort of zombie-killing death merchant. As for the chunk of meat in that undead bastard’s mouth…merely a flesh wound, I’m sure. She’ll be fine.

Forgive me for being over-sensitive, but maybe instead of making light of this issue, you could actually do something to stop the perpetuation of this stereotype? The only modded professionals this site seems to highlight are the modification professionals themselves, which is great but that is not the only career a modded person can be successful in. Maybe it would help thwart the ‘zomg she/he will never get a real job nao’ attitude if you did, say, a weekly short interview with a modded person (members from IAM, for example) about what they do? I think a lot of us would find that quite interesting and would be a much better way of silencing haters than throwing hate back. Just a suggestion from a heavily tattooed person who IS working hard to break the mould.

    That aside, cool photo :p
