The very talented intergalactic traveler Anders the Piercing Guy checks in with these recent (and rare) vertical lowbrets, done with 1-1/8″ straight barbells. These are the first such piercings Anders has done since 2005, he says, but one won’t find oneself in much better hands than his. Best of luck with the healing process, fella.
A couple more angles, after the jump.

Hy everybody…. after all those years I have found myself on the internet.
For those of you asking: At that time I had been 28 years old and I had just finished my M. Sc. of chemistry and took a sabbatical around the world. All in all it had been a pure surf-trip around the world while waiting for my PhD-studies to begin.
Those piercings looked awesome and I liked them really much, the healing process went perfectly…. they felt weird but funny! Any movement of my jaws felt funny! Contact with water during surfing was no problem at all because ocean water is salty water. For sun protection I used two pieces of tape… additionally this made them far more comfortable during the healing period as the sore part inside next to my jaw was relieved from pressure.
Everything went perfect until I got a facegrind on a beach in Egypt about 4 months later. It got severely irritated and was pretty messed up… so I had to take them out.
About my dreads I had back then: In fact when the picture was taken I had them for about 1.5 years. You can see the difference in the dread structure. The flat part is from creating them and afterwards I pushed the ends through the hairline. That’s why they looked twisted and twirly.
You can find me on FB and Linkedin if you have any questions.
