A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Aww, Nothing Gets Santorum Out

I really like that this tattoo came down the pipe just as poet laureate Dan Savage decided on a definition for America’s favorite new dirty sexy sex word, Saddlebacking, in honor of the awful walrus-looking gay-hating purpose-driven pastor of the Saddleback Church, Rick Warren. That is all.

(Tattoo by Peter at Rainbow Tattoo in Nora, Sweden.)

Way to be as close minded as insensitive as you perceive Rick Warren to be. Atta boy, Jordan Ginsberg! (Let us not forget that BME is a place for all, including those who might actually be dumb enough in your eyes to agree with this pastor.)

pretty much the same as the “death before cheese” tattoo.
    except this isn’t as amusing.

I love this piece of Sailor Jerry flash.

D-rock — I fail to see how judging Warren on his words and actions (as well as ridiculous facial hair) is close-minded. Now if Jordan had made ASSUMPTIONS about him…

That said, I do agree that modblog isn’t necessarily the best place for non-modification-related semi-political commentary, but in the end it is a private venture and all that.

I typically agree too. I was just being topical. And I had just read Savage Love.

I just feel calling him awful and walrus-looking aren’t the kinds of things this site is supposed to be about. I especially don’t think it’s good to make fun of him based on his physical appearance when our abnormal physical appearances are what bring us together.

abnormal? i don’t agree with that

jonny – We put holes in places where holes are not. We put permanent pictures on our bodies. That’s pretty abnormal.

    I like this tattoo.

personally, i’d rather bme weren’t a place for homophobic bigots, but that’s just me.

Poor Jordan… I know you just want to be loved by us, but why bring the walruses into it?! They are cute and awesome and (probably) have nothing against gay people!! :p

Really nice colours in the tattoo, but… even if its from flash…. couldn’t they just tidy up the lines on the banner a little bit? XD

    Hah, saddlebacking.
My friend dated a chick in high school who did that.
Dan Savage always makes me laugh.
