A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

I Tried to Save the Old Pail

This backside-piece made the long trip from Japan, bravely avoiding raccoons, herons, common housecats and a recession in which people can no longer afford to build backyard ponds. Glad you could make it.

I agree with the other comments, it’s such an amazing piece that it seems a shame so few people will see it. That doesn’t detract from the beauty, though. It’s making me want to plan a holiday in Japan…

Really whenever I see these tattoos I always just stare at them thinking how my tattoo artist would never let me live it down if he had to spread my cheeks for him to finish a tattoo. Great work though.
