A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Nose Peelings.

John Durante did this wicked facial scarification and peeling on Rafa (not this one) whilst on the road in Monterrey, Mexico.

Another shot lives just after the break..

Didn’t Shannon post this not too long ago? I don’t know why, but I’m sure I’ve seen this before, and I only subscribe to one body modification blog. Either way, thank you for keeping the post frequency up! Love seeing all the updates 🙂

    Cheers.

Symetrical…a thought occures to me everytime i see somebody with heavy facial tattoos and scars,(not that i consider this heavy) but what do most of these guys do for a living, we cant all surely be tat artists and musicians??

I imagine it’ll look great healed. But right now all I can think is it must feel like having a sun-burnt nose; ucky.

Gorgeous, I too would love to see an update once these are healed. I really like how simplistic the design is and yet still manages to be so powerful.

While thats healing and he’s walking around town, I love to think of how many people will look at him and think: ‘my god, how did that happen to his face?’

that’s beautiful, and he’s beautiful. i love the nose cuttings more, but it would look a little incomplete without the forehead. simple scarification is the best, and the best kind of mods are those that make the wearers more attractive.

Looks fantastic! I’m a big fan of really simple facial scarring and tattooing, and this flows really well with his features.

Very nice looking! I’m very curious to see what it looks like healed.
I’ve had a very similar idea in my head for years for my own face — basically the same three stripes on the nose, but pointing upwards instead of downwards.
    I hope you’re enjoying it. 🙂
