A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

6-Month Old Branding Forever

Adam “D357R0Y” Burdine (Live Electric Tattoo, San Marcos TX) did this tattoo of J.R.R. Tolkien signature to look as much like a branding as possible.

That looks very convincing as a brand, i thought it was a brand that had been augmented by a bit of tattooing

Really nice effect, but I really don´t understand why he/she didn´t do a real branding?

i’ve thought about doing something similar… because i like how red brandings and scars start out. i’m not really interested in the healed result.

Isn’t that brilliant. Using that approach, the “branding” can’t heal itself into oblivion (for people who don’t mark easily, like me)!

#10, maybe they didn’t want a ‘real’ branding.

#10 – I thought the same thing at first, but then I realized that a brand would look different than that when totally healed, so I think he got the tattoo so that it would maintain that look.

It looks fantastic, what an awesome idea. I’d be interested to see it in stronger light though, you know, with reflections, I bet it’s not half as nice. Still, love it.
