It’s still fresh, so hopefully I’ll publish a healed photo of these wings in the future, but I sure like the way that this white ink tattoo looks on the dark skin, done by Jan at Black Peppa in Johannesburg, South Africa. I’d love to go back to South Africa… I missed out on Capetown last time I was there…

My artist in Benoni (Jhb) is awesome. I’ve had all my tattoos done there. #20.. If you want to see a lot of people with visible tattoos you need to know where to go. There’s still a lot of closeminded people here. Especially older white people just do not approve of anyone that is modified in any way. You can’t get a decent job if you have visible tatoos. All my stuff is on my legs, and I never wear short skirts or anything like that to work.

#27 That’s what I’ve been worried about. I want to do a very specific job (with children) and I’ve been planning all my tatts to be easily hidden, but still show them off later 😛

AT LAST!!! i’ve been searching for examples of white ink on dark skin because i’ve been interested in getting some white work. i’ve had several artists tell me it wouldn’t take well. i knew they were wrong.

i’ve got olive skin and white ink tends to yellow on me– even bright colors tend to look a little faded under the melanin in my skin. it will be interesting to see whether any of this tattoo even shows through after things are healed.
