A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Jawline Spikes

I thought I’d never see transdermal implants again, what with the insane popularity of microdermals, but while Emilio Gonzalez (Mithos Tattoo, Venezuela) was working in Costa Rica this February he did this set of jawline spikes. Click through for a second photo.

Actually, that sort of thing isn’t that bad. I have labia rings (lots of them!) and they’re not all that difficult to shave. I’d actually be more concerned about sleeping than anything else.

That must look cool when he eats/talks as they’ll move above and beneath his jawline and flap up and down.

#7: It would suck if he got punched in the jaw, even without the spikes 😛

@7: That’s the major reason i took almost all of the metal out of my body; dangly metal bits + full contact martial arts = teh fucking sucks. :/

Iceberg – Surely for sleeping he could replace the spikes for flat disks?

#10 – I am slack lazy but wouldn’t replacing 6 pieces of jewelry be a pain in the ass!

I know that guy, when I met him he only had one side done. I like the visual effect, but cant help to think that this particular mod can get a little too uncomfortable.

It would be cool to put little LEDs on them in a club. Or at night in a dark street, and scare the tramps.

haha if he woke up he’d have holes punched in his pillow and bed

One would think the spikes would be a deterrent against punching him in the jaw though…

Not so much pufferfish as upside down styracosaurus.

My real worry would be falling on something and getting stuck, I mean it’d take alot of force to drive those into a piece of wood, but once they’re in it’d suck. Nice idea all the same.
