A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

The scars, which did some damage to an older tattoo, are care of the bike in the tattoo below with the ominous quote. The interesting question is, did OnlyOneRiri get the tattoo prior to the scars? I don’t think so, but I can just imagine lying there after the terrible crash thinking, “wow, the coroner is going to get a sad laugh out of my tattoo, aren’t they?” Tattoo by Flash at Comes A Time Tattoo in Fairfax, VA.

The back tattoo was (obviously) done before the scars, and the bike afterwards…as far as I know!

#1, There is a preponderance of evidence that the images you see before you today are not of a “him.” // I got the wing impression too… weirdly appropriate scarring for an accident survivor.

The one on the back was before the accident and the one on my side was after… (and by the way, I am a girl)

@1. I think if you read the paragraph up there it’s pretty clear she crashed her bike.

Parker, judging by the fingernail in the second photo, I’m gonna guess that this is a ‘her’ not a ‘him.’

@2: I thought the same thing, which is kind of odd since I was planning on getting almost the exact same thing branded on my back in that exact place. I’d be interested in hearing how they healed up – even if they were from an accident. :-/

AhhhHHhhh! I love Japanese superbikes…and as a woman who wishes she had enough money for one (and didn’t live in Wisconsin) it’s always exciting to see girls who do ride them.

Even if their experiences do confirm the “motorbikes can kill you” that my mum keeps saying.

And this, boys and girls, is why we wear proper safety equipment when riding. This is my biggest terror, riding a bike and having tattoos. I really don’t feel like having my ink ruined, but I also don’t want to give up the bike, so . . .

#12 I don’t ride anymore. 2he accident screwed me up a lot more than just the scars and actually left me with an extreme fear of motorcycles. I hit a wall on the beltway at around 65mph so I am very lucky!
