Pissed off?? I must have been a bad boy… spank me…please….
her skin looks like marble, beautiful
The sharp lighting makes here belly button look really deep.
…Which I find amusing, for some reason.
Holy abs batman.
Usually I don’t like the whole flat toned chick stomach thing, but she looks great!
Lindsay is smoking hot, great photo
Hot damn, amazing everything.
Shes gorgeous.
Yea shannon I remember pictures you posted on zantastic when you were going to the gym you were lookin pretty buff you shouldnt of stopped going.
Mmm mmm she can spot for me any day.
I want Lindsey to be my girlfriend.
That looks like a cracking sleeve she has there.
What a shame that the focus for many is how attractive they find her.
I loooove her sleeve!
And her body! *Is jealous*
Giles, of course you’re right, but then again, if I send in a picture of my tattoos + a whole lot of other naked skin, of course people are going to comment on the rest as well.
The sleeve looks great BTW. I love clear, high contrast work like that.
Marc – It took my comment before anybody mentioned her tats.
This may as well be a porn site for frustrated teenagers.
Giles – surely her tattoo(s) are part of what makes her attractive (to people on here)??
Top26 – Certainly to myself, however others clearly have more facile judgements to deliver.
#9 – thanks, I was trying to work out what I thought her skin looks like. She looks like a statue of herself. Very cool.. Her sleeve is beautiful, but I’m mostly saying to appease Giles, (:P) because genuinely, what caught my eye first in this picture is her midriff and the lighting in the photo.. 🙂
giles why is it whatever forum i see your name in on modblog your trying to start a conflict. but she is very pretty as is her sleve
GC – I am trying to challenge some of the structured beliefs that I believe cause the community to be viewed detrimentally by the ‘outside’. If that means challenging preconceptions and ideas that many hold then so be it.
Plus as a Social Scientist I have to show and prove that there are opposing viewpoints to many of the ‘texts’ we analyse here on ModBlog.
So you are being argumentative on the principle that you have to do it for your work? It is a straight forward question, nothing implied.. 🙂 Also, could you please explain how you are challenging the structured beliefs, and what those beliefs are?
Excellent. Nothing better than the morning modblog viewing. Avoided work for a little bit. Learnt some new words [thanks Giles] and have seen a variety of awesome photographs.
But thinking about it why can’t .jpeg/.jpg s be better. Imagine if you were able to step into the image and move the subject around. View it from any angle and maybe move the limbs a little bit…
Mainly I just want to kno what’s on her left wrist!
Serenity – Also, could you please explain how you are challenging the structured beliefs, and what those beliefs are?
They vary from thread to thread. If you wish I will point them out each and every time. My work isn’t directly within the social sciences but my study is, my arguments are more than often my own.
Well that’s fair enough then. I was just wondering how the structured beliefs within the mod community applies to a forum where most of the posters choose to comment on the topic the author has titled the blog entry, rather than the main topic of the blog. And what those beliefs are, relevant to most people posting about a woman’s abs and the quality of a photo, rather than her tattoo. I’ll leave it at that.. 🙂
Giles I find that very presumptious that YOU assume thats what people are looking at
>>Giles I find that very presumptious that YOU assume thats what people are looking at
Are you suggesting that the comments above were not about how attractive the woman is rather than her Body Art?
“she’s a fit foxy lady!”
“but shes freakin hot!”
“WOW fucking great body”
“can i have one!?”
“want Lindsey to be my girlfriend.”
No presumption required, the evidence speaks for itself.
Giles – “I am trying to challenge some of the structured beliefs that I believe cause the community to be viewed detrimentally by the ‘outside’.”
What confuses me here, is how a group of people finding a person attractive can be at all detrimental, surely that’s normal?
I think folks on the ‘outside’ would be more concerned if we didn’t find her attractive, for whatever reason.
Do people have to point out each and every time the specific reasons they find someone attractive? If the only reason people think she’s hot is because of her sleeve, that’s pretty lame.
Giles – I don’t think you’re being honest when you say that you’re trying to protect the community from looking bad to outsiders. Trust me, the mainstream doesn’t mind that the first thing people see here is that she’s hot — because that’s what THEY see.
You should be honest and say that you are pushing your own “male feminist” sociopolitical agenda as to what you believe appropriate behavior and beliefs are.
Haha, Roo and I had the same thought at the same time. And we’re both posting from home, not the office.
This should be an advertisement for ADIDAS or something. I think she’s wearing ADIDAS clothes. It’s a fantastic photo.
Yes indeed there is a feminist agenda behind my views, certainly I would never deny that.
However I believe that this woman has much more to offer than simply being masturbatory fodder for pubescent males. Personally I would prefer us to be discussing her tattoo.
That was why she was included wasn’t it ? That is what the community is for isn’t it ?
Roo – The point about being seen in a detrimental fashion is more to do with the general reactions on show. About 80% were purely defining her in terms of her physical beauty, surely this community is about showing the world that people SHOULD NOT be defined by their external attributes, non?
How can we prove that the integrity of someone’s personality lies not in the image they have if we fail to deride it when our community does just it?
there is nothing – absolutely nothing – sexier than a well-muscled woman
so sexy that i forget even to comment on her sleeve
Giles – “How can we prove that the integrity of someone’s personality lies not in the image they have if we fail to deride it when our community does just it?”
But that’s all it is, in this context. It’s just an image of a girl, and “ModBlog is a body modification blog featuring some of the best images and stories from the BME archives.”
Also, if everyone stuck to discussing only her tattoo (and that was the case with every post made on ModBlog), it wouldn’t be a fair representation of the varying people that visit here, or that live in meatspace.
When someone looks at a photo that’s what they see, a photo, maybe after the initial ‘WOAH OMG SHE’S/HE’S HOT’ they will notice the tattoo and think it’s awesome, but to say that should be the first reaction just isn’t the case.
We’re not wired that way.
Giles – She was included because this is a great photo of both her and her sleeve. And of course fitness is also a very valid form of body modification requiring a great deal of dedication and effort, arguably more so than tattoos, so I would hope that we’re not so “politically correct” and opposed to the concept of physical beauty that we are unwilling to give her credit for this work.
Fuuuuuuuck Yea! More muscly modified broads need to be on modblog!
oou yes! she’s hot! & i like the tattoo too 😉
In this case I definitely agree that her body build is a form of modification. It takes *work* for a woman to get a stomach like that. Her tattoo looks great, but it is definitely accentuated by a very fit frame.
She looks badass. Buff ladies warm my heart!
Wow, that is a ripped mid-section.
>>It takes *work* for a woman to get a stomach like that
It can also be bought as shown last month by Shannon.
I personally feel that our attitudes towards women on ModBlog and across society as a whole need to change. The current defence of “WOW how hot” has to go before we can start to truly appreciate people for the strength of their character and not their external ‘beauty’.
A GREAT man once said “It is ironical that there should still be people in this world who judge men not by their moral worth and intellectual merit but by the pigment of their skin or other physical characteristics.”
Giles – How do you feel about the girls who reply with “WOW how hot” regarding the boy candy images? Or the girls who say the same about the girls? Or the boys about the boys?
Do you have a partner?
A great man doesn’t say “ironical”.
I also think that it’s quite valid to judge someone by their physical characteristics when those characteristics are self-chosen.
