A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Sex, Money, and Murder

I’ve been thinking I should add a “comics” category to ModBlog… This one is by Greg Erskine by the way, from his Olive Garden series (via).

this could present publication difficulties. it’s one thing for someone to send you their own comic for posting on your site, but quite another to post it on your own.

That’s a good point. Would something like this be considered a “review”? It is usually considered fair use to reprint a portion of a work for the purpose of review or critique.

I don’t know of any comics with tattoos, but Girls With Slingshots has a lot of pierced characters and a couple that work at a BDSM club.

Daryl/peebs – Anything I’d be posting would just be a link to their content/page and a thumbnail of the comic…

Well it would be nice to have some comics in here. Why not just shoot the person an email asking if they are cool with it? I can’t see why they wouldn’t be flattered. If not, there is enough that at least some people would say yes.

Hmm. So is this comic perpetuating the myth that every tattoo has a deep meaning, or poking fun at it?

Badly Drawn Kitties is a relative unknown, and one of the characters owns a piercing shop.

I totally agree we need a comic section here. Most people I’ve met on/through BME/IAM have extremely good sense of humors.
