A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Single Knee Suspensions

Inkstar snapped this shot of Allen Falkner doing a three-point single knee suspension earlier this year at the Wings of Desire Oslo Suscon in Norway.

…and Marc in Germany upped the ante by raising it to a one-point single-knee suspension… I know if it was me I’d be wayyyy to worried about falling on my head to try that!

just a heads up to those who asked about how long did the one hook stay up for.

the point of suspensions should not be about “how long you’re up for”…it should not be about “out doing” another person you know or saw online.

Suspensions are a personal journey that does not know time, one-up-manship,etc.

Marc was up long enough that is body would allow, that’s all that really matters.

The single knee is definitely mighty impressive…I remember back in the day when people were pushing to do 1pt suspensions on elbows, etc and always tearing out almost immediately. Man has things definitely changed.

I’ve always enjoyed looking at suspension pictures, and seeing them of my daddy [Allen] is no exception. Beautiful pictures.
