A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Glowing UV power light tattoo

Gimpie-Modo‘s neck glows when he’s turned on under a blacklight… This UV ink tattoo was done by Jo at Spunky Monkeys in Newport Pagnell, UK. By the way, Josh (who you know from the eyeball tattooing) is considering trying UV in his eyes!

Has anything ever come of the argument that UV ink may be harmful over the long term? It seems more and more people are getting UV reactive tattoos, so perhaps there is more informatin out there now?

Either way, it looks pretty cool =)

Seconding #1′s question about information. The more UV tats I see here on modblog, the more and more I want one. If Josh is considering UV in his eyes, I can’t imagine that he would do so without being sure there aren’t side effects (other than… y’know, obvious risks from eyeball tattooing)

White things tend to glow under a black light anyway, don’t they? I don’t think a UV tattoo in your eyes would make much of a difference. Although on top of the blue ink already there it would probably have an interesting effect.

UV eyes- be very careful. I once wore some UV-reactive contact lenses around a UV light, and all of a sudden I had real trouble seeing. Even though the clear part didn’t react, there was enough “glow” seeping in from the edges of the colored portion to make it very difficult for me to see. It blinded me the same way a bright light in your eyes blinds you, but I couldn’t see much actual light.
Still, would be a very cool effect.
