A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Jeremy’s Lucky Day

Jeremy went to the tattoo show at the DVA Gallery in Chicago at the end of April, and while there pop artist Mitch O’Connell (“one of the rockinist artists ever”) — who has never drawn on anyone in this context before — drew a bunny on Jeremy’s arm using a sharpie marker.

After Mitch drew it, oMs (below) at Revolution Tattoo and Art Gallery tattooed it permanently in place.

So now Jeremy has an original piece of pop art on his arm, and the first (if not only) “true” Mitch O’Connell tattoo.

I’ve been waiting for this to happen. I’m so glad that it’s two good artists collaborating, rather than some crap. Right on!

The turtle above it…isn’t that from those “if you can draw this you’re an artist” advertisements for art schools?

I think I like the Tippy the Turtle tattoo more than the MO’C one. Becoming a ‘real’ artist by means of that crappy infomerical was my goal in life when I was six.

At first glance I though the post was about how long had lasted the tattoo…
“Look, the artist became hairy and beardy before he finished it!”
