A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

So many gags, so few fingers!

Plaid‘s tattoos by Chris R. at EZ Tattoo in Scottsdale, AZ — a finger mustach (just touched up for the third time), a question mark, an explanation mark [edit: oh my god I can’t believe I typed that, but it’s such an idiotic typo that I had to leave it in], and… shock and awe.

An exclamation mark, perhaps, rather than a mark of explanation? Though I’m sure one could be used in an explanatory manner…

I have to wonder, are some people really taught that these (!) are explanation points/marks?

p.s. I say that because this is not the first time I’ve seen someone refer to an exclamation point as that, it’s probably about the 20th at least.

It seems more like it’s just commonly misspoken, or misheard. I kinda hope nobody’s going so far as to teach it that way.

Ariel- I didn’t even catch that at the top until I read what you said! I don’t think most people are taught that. I think some people just easily mix certain words up.

Personally, I would want a light bulb on my finger so I could hold it up to my head whenever I have a brilliant idea. Hehe…

“Explanation mark” is what I would say when I was a 5-year-old… but surely it’s not that difficult to get your tongue (and typing!) around once you reach adulthood!
