Piercing Pete at The Piercing Urge in Melbourne sends in this photo of a cheek staple he did on William… Quite an interesting placement. I actually marked it out on my face because I was wondering how much motion it would have to deal with, and it’s surprisingly little, so I’m looking forward to hearing how the healing goes.

Unkey Pete strikes again!!
I quite like it, its something different and interesting.
Good to see a few Aussie artists making ModBlog recently!! 😀
You know I love Australians!
that is amazing looking. and how lucky he is that his cheekbone and his jawbone are so perfectly parallel, and how that lovely little bar is parallel to them both…
I love the fact that they match up 2 his freckles
P.S We love you 2 Shannon 🙂
I’ve never been a fan of staples in general (though I’ve never had one, so I guess I’m in no position to criticise), but hey, go Pete! There seem to be some really stand-out artists around Australia. I’d like to visit TPU to get something done, maybe, but I’m too loyal to Polymorph (:
veganvampire if you are referring to the little dots that make the staple look like a divison sign, they are acually the exit points for the needles used to insert the staple 😉
I wonder if Pete has seen this yet… William is really imaginative and comes in every few weeks with some really bizarre requests!
I dunno like it. Looks to me like hes had an accident with the stapler(:
unusual looking
ukey pete rocks my socks!
thanks for the support and none of those “oh that sucks cause its going to reject” comments. the end thats closer to my ear always stayed still sorta like an “origin”. the “insertion” ie. the end thats closer to my mouth went through a crap load of movement when i laughed/smiled/grinned etc and despite a very promising first month hurdle after that it didn’t look too crash hot.
then it was all over when a friend of mine and workmate slapped me on the staple and pulled one of the ends out.
but with that said i’d still recommend it provided you don’t have a really wide cheesy grin like the people in the “black hole sun” video clip
