A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Double Vision Tattoo

Clockorange sent in this neat picture of what seems to be a self-portrait on the side of someone’s head (beat that Steve-O!), taken at the 2007 Kyev, Ukraine tattoo convention.

Awe thats kind of cute. The mysterious eye-looking object behind her face above her ear is a little frightening.

Hm…nice. It kind of looks like a coverup? Because of the coloring just above her REAL ear and that goes through her tattooed ear. The eye is neat.

It’d be funny if the tattoo also had a self-portrait on its forehead 🙂 Very cool.

I think it’s a coverup too. Not sure how I’d feel about getting a self-portrait tattoo though.

Is it just me or is there another tattoo hidden in the tattoo. If you look really hard, you will see another face, but its very faint. Its by the ‘ear’ of the tattoo. Or am I just imagining things?

Maybe she has an identical twin? I also like the idea of the portrait also having a portrait, good call.

It looks pretty cool. I just wonder what it would look like if the allowed her hair to grow bak in. She’d have like a nose and mouth coming out of her temple. Probably more. Guess it would depend on how she wore her hair.

I like the originality of this tattoo, sure Steve-o had his self portrait tattooed on his back, but this is beautiful, not a tack gag tattoo (a really big gag tattoo). I too see the eye but it adds a kind of mystery to this image. Great work.

Yeah, I second Rhiannon; You could get into the whole infinite regression/Hall-of-mirrors thing with a design like that. Of course you’d be limited by the size of the needles, but a nifty idea…

I agree, looks like a cover up. I really love the subtlety of it though, I think it’s really beautiful! The hidden eye looks almost Geiger-esque, in my opinion.

It looks like it is a cover-up over a snake or dragon head or something.

I think it’s pretty nicely done (the new tattoo, it doesn’t work too great as a *cover up*). And something I haven’t seen before.

It’s beautiful and very interesting. The “what if you old” issue relates to any tattoo. In this case it will add an extra interresting dimension.
