A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Tattoos on a healed cutting

About a year and a half ago Ubergeekgawdess had Tantan (at Infinite, Philadelphia) do the cutting that you can see healed on the left. Just now, on the right, Joy Rumore (at Venus, NYC) has added tattooing to augment the scar as it matures.

    Absolutely gorgeous.

…But I don’t think it meshes well with the cherries she already had. Ah well, it’s still amazing work!

Does anybody have an idea of the pain level of getting scar tissue tattooed? I have a few scars I’d like to add some ink to, so I’m a little curious…

Christina: I found that the parts that actually tattooed into a bit of scar tissue were pretty painful but it wasn’t bad enough that I’d never do it again. Don’t let the pain level stop you because it is definitely bearable.

I love the idea of 3D tattoos, like flock wallpaper or something, but prettier!
