A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Wolverine Punching Spikes

These are on Andyhursh by Mike French and Maggie at Omega Red in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Photoshop Disclaimer: I edited off the marks at the entrance points. Whine if you’d like, but the originals as always are there for you to see at full size on BME.

Dude, these things have always wigged me out. Ther are SO many little nerves and tendons and just stuff in the backs of the hands! They look badass, but man, I could never get myself to do that!

Very Cool. Looks quite authentic to the intended Wolverine claws.

    Anselm:
If your afraid of damaging any nerves or tendons, or “stuff” for that matter – don’t be. Your only piercng the skin, so there’s no risk of hurting anything else than skin…

Thank, Liquid. My human brain gets this but my lizard braind still shrieks in fear at the very thought.

    Personally, I like the look.

Anselm, the original picture shows that they only run along under the skin, they’re not as deep as they look here.

Those arent on Andy, they are on a guy named Blayne. They are photos taken BY Andy at the shop he works for (Omega Red).

It would be nice if I could *find* the original photos on BME.

i really love these. neat. but i’m anal and wolverines claws actually emerge from his knuckles as they are extensions of the bone. but seeing as that would be hard (if possible) to pierce, i heart these.
