I’ve shown you the black half of this tattoo before, but I just had to share the full version, split up into balanced left and right luminosities, by Lionel at Out of Step (seriously, I know I push his work a lot, but do check out his gallery for more pictures).

    I guess I’m not “artsy” enough but I still can’t find myself liking too much of Lionel’s work.

    I’m not slagging him. I looked through his portfolio and it’s obvious he’s a talented guy (see: https://www.bmezine.com/tattoo/miniport/A60612/high/bmepb286585.jpg)

    All the scratchy lines (like at the top of this sleeve) and the childish overall look of a lot of the pieces just don’t jive aesthetically with me.
