I’ve posted loads of work by Shauncey Fury here in the past (Drug Free, Shake It, Titty Twister, NAMBLA Herbert, Stiff Upper Lip, Thug Life, Kurt Halsey, and Ranch), but recently his friend Steve let him tattoo a self-portrait caricature on him… pretty funny stuff:

- Held by Hooks, and Each Otherby JonathonFacilitators and practitioners — the very people who bring so many suspensions to life — often pour their energy into others, quietly setting aside their own opportunities. - Suspended, Not Silencedby JonathonThere’s something undeniably powerful about watching someone working through the stages of suspension. We all build up ideas about ourselves—what we’re allowed to feel, how much we’re allowed to express, when it’s okay to break. For some, suspension is not about pushing physical limits its… Read more: Suspended, Not Silenced
- A Nightbird’s Passageby JonathonSome stories take their time, unfolding over decades, through life’s long detours and diversions. But dreams never rest until they’re fully realized. Even after 15 years, Robb knew there was still a suspension experience waiting for him. Something left unfinished, something essential. At the Ontario… Read more: A Nightbird’s Passage
- What Lifts the Body, Shifts the Soulby JonathonFirst suspensions are rarely just about the body—they’re a meeting point between the physical and the deeply personal. Stepping into this experience isn’t simply about trying something new, but about stepping outside yourself to a version you had always sensed was waiting. I’ve had a… Read more: What Lifts the Body, Shifts the Soul
- Skin and Strings: The Art of Human Puppetryby JonathonOne of the most powerful things about being at a convention like OSC is the sheer concentration of experience, creativity, and capability in one place. i love it so much!!
Amazingly well done, though the black and red spots (no, I don’t mean the freckles, which are cute) around the main body of the tattoo make the person’s skin look a little dirty/diseased.
Sorry, just an opinion, try not to flame the shit out of me for having one…
Outmywindow, I felt similarly. I love the tattoo but I wondered if something was wrong seeing all the little red spots around it. 😛
i actually like the little flecks of red and the black asterisk type stars and little x’s. it doesnt look accidental or anything so it looks alright to me.
I can’t figure out how I feel about the flecks. In some spots they look really cool and they really flow with the piece, but it seems like there are a few spots where they look too accidental. Maybe I am crazy though. Overall though I love it, it really makes me smile a lot for some reason.
“YAL SUK” heh heh heh heh ha! I like it.
Life would be interesting if people were born with different numbers of fingers…instead of us all having the same amount. Some have 4, some have 3. I have a friend who was born without a pinky finger and it looks completely natural.
awesome idea and execution in my opinion….anybody else reminded of the artwork from the fallout games? or know what im talking about? i’ve always planned having one or two tattoos like that
#7. now you mention that I can see what you see 😛
not a fan of this tattoo myself but yeah. neet idea though 🙂
Well, the cartoonish style is really familiar to me. I can’t think of what it reminds me of though. Either way. I like it.
It reminds me of Penny Arcade for some reason. And I can see the resemblance to Fallout 1 & 2 also.
the first thing i thought of when i saw that tattoo was how much i liked the stars and x’s and flecks…i was kinda surprised to read that people didn’t like it or that it looked like diseased skin. haha oh how different everybody is….
Cute.
Love it! Was dissapointed with some of his other pieces though.
Keep in mind that I’ve only been tattooing for a year and a half.
