A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Wrench Tattoo

This tattoo, by Rebecca Fidducia at Metamorph Studios in Chicago, IL, is on a bike mechanic who says, “this sums up much of my life.”

    Nice tattoo. I like wrenches.

Finny though, as around these parts of BikeLand, an adjustable crescent wrench is known as “the wrong tool for every job.”

i love it! i’ve thought about getting a 9/16″ socket on the palm of my hand for a long while now.

*the wrong tool for every job* sounds like something a tool salesman would say.
give me an adjustable, and i’ll be just fine thanks ; )

So this is my tattoo, and I have to say, while it might be the wrong tool for every job, a 5mm allen key really doesn’t get across the point to the majority of people who see it. So I got a crescent wrench, ‘cuz it sums up all things mechanical, not just bicycles ya know?

  • Suspended, Not Silenced
There’s something undeniably powerful about watching someone working through the stages of suspension.
