A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

St. Michael Tattoo

OK, since I posted an entry today that was also kind of down on religion, let me restore the cosmic balance between opposing truths by posting DickGrayson‘s wonderful stained glass St. Michael tattoo by Justin B at Wizard’s World in Stowe, PA. I’ve always been a big fan of stained glass tattoos; the two artforms work so well together.

I honestly never thought of a stained-glass-style tattoo before now; however, now that i’ve been shown the light (so to speak), i don’t know that i’m complete without one.

There is are so many amazing examples of stanied-glass artwork out there in the world today – and Shannon is correct, the two styles go so well together.

And thus begins the planning for my next piece. Thank you, ModBlog. 🙂

At first glance I thought this was an astronaut… I think I ought to get a little more sleep.

That is fantastic. My wife will be stoked, she has been kicking around the idea of a stained glass tattoo but didn’t know how the look would translate into tattoo form. She’ll be impressed I’m sure when I send her this link.

Wizards World is a great place. I see a lot of Justin’s work around in magazines and stuff. It’s not really my style, but he’s good.
