It always surprises me what heals

It bruised a little when it was first done, but this insanely long Tygon surface piercing is now about eight months old in the bigger photo. The piercing is by Alec at Straight to the Point in Portland, OR. Normally my worry would be abcessing, because keeping a piercing like this drained and healthy isn’t easy… but some people can heal anything!

Not something I’d normally recommend, but it looks good.

    i recently saw this guy working at a convention. i believe he uses tygon for everything.

    heh yep alec is the man but I’d agree that he is a tygon obsessive. he used tygon on me and well…definitely didnt work out…still this is an amazing piercing

    that looks really cool but personally i wouldnt mess with stuff that close to my eye… eyebrows my limit

    and i was wondering the same thing as mishmosh…

    Yeah, that’s pretty cool on another person, but I’m way too squeamish about my eyes to ever do anything like that.

    I can hardly put eyedrops in my eyes, so that piercing is definitely out of the question for me…

    MishMosh — it’s not unusual to see bruising even from an eyebrow piercing… I think that if you type “Bruising” into the BME encyclopedia you’ll see some other pictures.

    The needle may not have been as long as the piercing/jewellery. He may have used a clamp, and the bruise could be from the clamp.
