A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

So that’s what Spanish Joe Rogan looks like!

…And I guess the woman in the last picture is the Croatian Joe Rogan?

“Frente Al Miedo” is the Columbian franchise of Fear Factor. As you may remember, in 2003 Fear Factor featured play piercing, and I guess the franchisees are using the same idea.

What’s particularly interesting to me is that they filmed the Croatian and Columbian episodes with the same crew (and piercer) — and that this production happened not in either of those two countries, but in Buenos Aries, Argentina! Piercing was by Juan Manuel Burgos from Face Tattoo in BSAS (photo credit: wild skin).

The Zentastic entry that this entry links to says that Joe Rogan is well versed on BME issues. Why is that? I’m a pretty big Joe Rogan fan, and as far as I know he isnt really modified. Am i totally wrong?

I love how they’ve strapped these people down as if they’ve been put into an electric chair! Ahh, the psychological aspects of fear…

I remember the American episode with the play piercing. One of the contestants was FREAKING OUT!

    Shannon,

by Columbia I am sure you mean Colombia, in northern South America. Although this minute spellimg mistake is nowhere near insulting, it is widely repeated throughout the community and can get annoying. Just a heads up!

Wow! Fear Factor wannabes…kind of cool. What’s with that ladie’s outfit… She looks like a really ugly and old Girl Scout…

By strapping them down, it causes more anxiety than if they weren’t strapped down.. they kinda accidentally tested that on Mythbusters with Chinese Water Torture. I think Scotty was restrained and had water dripping on her and started crying after a little bit, while Adam was in a comfortable chair and couldn’t care less.

I’d also say it’s for their/the piercer’s own safety – the last thing anyone wants is someone to suddenly jump away as a needl’s half in them…
