A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Valentine’s Day ModBlog Post

Well, it’s Valentine’s Day again, but this is the first year in maybe ten years that I’ve been alone… Every time I hear a floorboard creak my first instinct is that it’s Rachel coming in to the room, but of course it’s not. In any case, not to dwell on the sad things in life, so here’s a gallery of some of my favorite heart tattoos that have been submitted over the years to BME.

I love them! Well, for every single other Valentine’s Days I’ve been single – this years different.. I don’t know what to do!

All we have to remember is that Valentines day is a money scheme thought up by the greetings card companies.

Money hungry bastards… as if being single isn’t bad enough without a holiday reminding me…

When people tell me how sad they are that its their first Valentine’s alone I want to smack them. Too many people don’t realize how hard it is to be single all the time.

Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest…
I really like a lot of those tattoos. Hearts are a nice theme.

No smacking Ghostie! Wouldn’t you be sad if you had a cookie, then someone snatched it away? Much more sad than the content kid who never had one in the first place.

    Also, those hearts rock.

    “ditto” would correctly spell “dito”.

I’d have to say it’s even worse to never have had a cookie while walking around watching (what seems like) everyone else immensely enjoying theirs!

Valentines day is not made up by greetings card companies, Its about St.Valentine who married couple when it was outlawed to do so and he was killed for it.

I thought it was about cookies…

I know about St Valentine, but you must admit that no one thinks about him anymore, they just wonder what card, flowers, chocolates to buy their partner. If we truly wanted to celebrate Valentines Day, we should die for love, but I don’t see that catching on 😀

My husband and I didn’t buy cards or anything we cooked a nice dinner together and ate with our kids. Its gotta be love if neither one of us have split through the craziness of three kids under the age of four

what hand is that “ditto” tattoo on? it appears to be on the right hand…which…isn’t the correct hand for wedding rings.

Posted on 02-19-2006 13:55:46 by Poppie
The ‘ditto’ tattoo apears to be on the same persons hand, like having two wedding fingers (:

Those are my tats on my fingers!! woo hoo! I was on IAM before as S + J Tattoo, but it’s cool to see my tats being featured! Ok so the symbolism behind this is.. Both hands are mine…The “I DO” is on my left wedding ring finger, and obviously is a love guesture to my husband saying that I do take him as my husband.. even if i lose the ring, i still have a permanent display of my love… On the inside of that finger is the dates 1-28-02.. our wedding date, the date we eloped..

On the ring finger of my right hand is “DITTO” (spelled this way for sentimental reasons.. it’s the way my husband spelled it in a letter to me when we first were dating) anyways.. the DITTO symbolizes the day we renewed our vows and had a “REAL” traditional wedding.. on the inside of that finger is the date 1-26-03.. the date we renewed our vows..
    hope that explains more!

I LOVE the Green Day lyrics (For what it’s worth/ It was worth all the while) because I used to be obsessed with them. I really love how the person has them in a heart shape, it seems very meaningful, for example they may have had a bad break-up but it was worth it for the relationship. It says a lot, and I really love it. I almost want it, but I made a decision not to use any song lyrics because I might start hating the band….. this makes me re-think that!

The other hearts look cool too.

It’s a shame that the “ditto” is spelled wrong…
