Thanks to IAM:HollywoodPiercer for sending in this picture of a twelve year old child who walked into his studio — her older sister had pierced her lip using an ear piercing gun and stud. In addition to obvious contamination risks if the gun had been used on other people, the lip would very likely swell over the stud and engulf it, necessitating professional intervention.

looks like her nose was a previous attempt

Not only that, but the stud is actually in backwards, i.e. the backing is on the outside…

I think I’d want the stud in. The backing rubbing against your gums all day… yuck. But it’s not like the front looks especially comfortable either.

That would be a sister who would never see the light of day again. I have boys and if the older one got that brillant idea there would be all kinds of hell to pay. I do really wonder where the parents arein this case??

I really hope “older” means, like, thirteen.

Did the piercer explain what would happen and have her take it out? Or at least sell her some proper jewelry?
Posted on 02-01-2006 20:45:43 by Nikkie
I agree with most everyone else, my parents almost killed me when I did my own piercings, let alone if my older sister had of done them for me, we’d both be dead…holy crap..

Mother was in the studio as well and didnt seems to mind. In a post on my page I mentioned that the sister also got to mom but she would not let me take a picture. The nostril on the 12 year old was previously pierced with the same method/hack. I will try to find that picture and post it here as well.

“Also go to mom.” What is this woman thinking!?! I don’t entirely blame the kids if they have nothing being said to even atempt to stop them from doing this.
Posted on 02-04-2006 04:01:52 by .
it’s not as if the girls or the mother knew any better, either. we need a bme taskforce.

You’d think they’d have learnt after the nostril attempt.
I didn’t even know “normal” (non piercer) people could buy piercing guns.

it’s just plain wrong wrong wrong…

I did my lips this way (four times in all, most are retired) with a pin and stud. Asides from the constant sting (and it got madd nasty sometimes) I had no problems…but I could have. What a bad idea
Posted on 05-16-2006 23:04:30 by court
I would consider “mad nasty” a problem.
the stud is in backwards to avoid the butter fly back from scraping the girls gums.(igeuss)
This is just plain wrong man! She’s 12! And it’s done with a gun! Does it get any more wrong? ‘Cause I can’t see how that’s possible..
Was her sister trying to be fucking stupid or something?
Totally WRONG!!!!!!
Looks like her right nostril was done at one time, too.
