I think that Albertans especially will appreciate this photo from IAM:Holy Flesh of IAM:sicchic‘s suicide suspension… I like the juxtaposition of the city, the country scene, the muddy truck, and the serenity of the suspension itself.

- Suspended, Not Silencedby JonathonThere’s something undeniably powerful about watching someone working through the stages of suspension. We all build up ideas about ourselves—what we’re allowed to feel, how much we’re allowed to express, when it’s okay to break. I really love this picture for some reason. Maybe it’s because it makes me miss Calgary and very few things can do that for me.

you know, I don’t know what it is exactly, but my husband and I are going through some pretty bad shit with my father and his mother, and looking at a good suspension picture just….calms me….centers me…reminds me of grace, and courage…of how through pain we can reach a higher, lighter place, that being weighed down by our woes is optional..
Glider, I am so deeply grateful for you, for the suspension community, for body mods in general. *Thank you* all of you. I love you.
