A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Am I barking mad, or does the art style (esp. the robes and hands) look a great deal like traditional Japanese depictions of demons?

I caught a glimpse of these being done. Yes they are supposed to be daemons and the artist is very much into Japaneese stuff.

One of the depicted tattoos is clearly inspired by Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), a prolific
Japanese woodblock artist. The concerning woodblock print dates c.1840 and depicts
all kinds of (male and female) genitalia shaped figures. It’s a great piece of art!

If interested I can send a picture of that print which is not on our website yet!
