A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Vertical Nose Tip Piercing

Thanks to dispel for sending me this pretty crazy looking vertical nose tip piercing done at the Dunstable Tattoo Expo 2005. Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen things like this.

the link leads to some impressive nasallang’s. I’d never heard of the piercing before I clicked the link, though it’s a very impressive piercing.
Regarding the one in the above photo…I think I would prefer it (if done on me) if it wasn’t visible through the septum; that’s just my preference though…

Shannon-like you weren’t thinking the same fucking thing when you first saw that photo. i guess it’s better to make fun of someone’s clustered cheek/labret piercings. fucking hypocrit.

Posted on 01-19-2006 09:56:09 by glider
Um… I also posted that the people making fun of that girl were being lame. Perhaps you haven’t noticed yet that I believe people have a right to look the way they want to look?

Posted on 01-19-2006 10:32:59 by mitch
i just thought it was funny that you said we were lame for jokingly poking fun at this guy, but you joking poked fun at the chick with the HARDCORE tat, and then said “people making fun of that girl were being lame”, which would have included yourself. didn’t you write something about people in glass houses. take your own advice. that’s my advice. and oviously i know that you believe people have a right to look they way they want to look. however i doubt this guy chose his missing tooth.

Posted on 01-19-2006 11:54:34 by glider
I’ve never poked fun at the girl with the HARDCORE tattoo. Never once. Here’s a link to that entry; show me where I make fun of her, because the fact is that I don’t.

Posted on 01-19-2006 12:15:17 by mitch
“Yeah ok haters! 😛 Say what you want, but she’s hardcore for real. Those clustered cheek/labret piercings are intense looking.” seems pretty sarcastic to me.

    mitch, you are a moron.

It’s not sarcastic and I’m not making fun of her in any way. I think they are intense looking and I like them. Sheesh. I think you’re reading your own feelings into my words perhaps.

Posted on 01-19-2006 14:25:22 by mitch
maybe. i thought it was very obviously sarcastic. maybe i was wrong. if so, sorry. personally, i really like her HARDCORE tat.

While I admit a missing tooth can be distracting, I agree with the amazing smile comment. It shows his personality and makes me smile back. Smiles are beautiful things in all forms. 🙂
