Thanks to IAM:dragon for these suspension photos. Most suspension goes on in an urban environment, so I really like seeing these outdoor suspensions in really natural environments. Perhaps it’s my own prejudices speaking having grown up in the country, but I feel like the sense of peace that’s inherent in places that look like this must positively affect the suspension.

At least for me, you’re exactly right, Shannon. The peace of the country and the sound of the river made this experience far different than other suspensions that I’ve done. But then I’m prejudiced, too, having also grown up in the country.

I can’t say I’m prejudiced, seeing how I’ve grown up in a semi-urban setting, however my most intense suspension have been in the great outdoors, with a high point of view of the surrounding area. Never before in my life had I feel so in touch with myself and so in touch with the world around me, so I definitely think you’re onto something.

I was all excited when I found that tree on my property. Although it was some time getting a rig into it it was definitly worth it.
