Once a lip ring, now snakebites.

I know it says six months, but it's actually closer to 9. There's no option for that, but since it's closer to six months than a year (only by a few days!) I figured that's what I'd go with. For three months, I'd had a lip ring on the right side. For a bit over a month and a half, I'd been absently thinking that hey, snakebites are cool. For about three weeks, I'd been thinking that damn, snakebites are awesome. I should seriously think about getting the other side of my lip pierced. For about a week and a ... read more

My first piercing

I don't have anything pierced, not even my ears. Ever since November of 2007, I've had his strange obbsession with snakebites. I was convinced that they'd look good on anyone. But my parents wern't. I tried talking them into snakebites for the longest time, but they wern't giving in. I asked for them as a Christmas present. No luck. It didn't take long for my obbsession to die down a bit, and, obviously, my parents were pretty happy about then. But then it started up again in January, and I wanted them again. And more than before. This time I ... read more

My DIY centre labret piercing!

First of all, I'd like to say that this happened six days ago, not a week ago. But close enough. Hehe. Second of all, I'd like to stress that while I performed the procedure myself, I had done several months' worth of research, and ordered in all the correct equipment. I do not condone people jabbing random safety pins through their face in a serious attempt at self-piercing, even though I did something similar with this. I have been known to act stupidly. Right, now, on to the experience. I'd decided that I wanted a new piercing about three weeks ... read more

my 16g vertical labret - an almost disasterous experience

I got my vertical labret done today. I'm very happy with it but, mind you, today could easily have turned into the stuff that piercing horror stories are made of. I got to the place a little early and went in. They weren't busy but the place smelt like cigarette smoke and they had a little child running around, pulling the laminated tattoo displays off of the walls. The place looked a little dirty and immediately made me uneasy. The guy that got the signs to form didn't know what a vertical labret was and my appointment was only written ... read more

Lip Piercing

I made the final decision to get my lip pierced after my sister in law showed me hers. Now, I had always wanted to pierce my lip, but never could because at the time, I lived with my parents and had promised them that I wouldn't get anymore while I was still living under their roof (though I've gotten most of my lower body piercings and my tongue done at that time.) There was the small problem with my job not allowing facial piercings while working with customers. The thing is, my sister in law was the LAST person I ... read more

Great Labret Experience in Madison, WI

Over the past month I've done a lot of research online/on BME about labrets and looked at tons of photos. Do I want a lowbret? A lip ring? Off to one side or in the middle? Lip rings are not something I like. Being in my 30s, I think that is definitely more of a younger person's thing. I was looking for something I would keep for a long while, like my tongue ring. I liked the idea of it being right under my lip but with how full my lips are and where my teeth are behind the lip, ... read more

Vertical Labret

I had been contemplating getting a piercing for a few months before I decided on my vertical labret. I still remember the first time I saw the piercing, I thought it was unbelievably cool, and I knew that I wanted to have it! I had heard in several forums that it was a very painful piercing (though, I do *sort of* like pain, so I wasn't TOO worried). One of my friend's knew someone at Sinister and had arranged for me to get it pierced there. The night of the piercing, literally 30 minutes before my appointment, I got a ... read more

Didn't hurt a bit!

I've decided for the past while that I wanted my lip pierced. I work in a place that was really against it and told me it was not allowed. I looked through the employee manual and didn't see anything mentioned, plus coworkers had mods so I kept asking and tried to be patient until finally my lovely manager said yes. I kind of decided to do it on impulse. Don't get me wrong, I put thought into it but I decided to do it right before my shift was going to start. Since it was a piercing I didn't have ... read more

The happiest and friendliest piercer's in Chester!

So, basically I wanted to get another piercing as I wanted something more than my existing piercings of my ears and my vertical labret. As I loved my labret so much and got so many compliments off it I decided to get something else near my mouth pierced. As I moved to Chester less than a year ago I was unsure about where any piercers in Chester where. I knew of one near Tesco but that looked a bit amateur and dirty in my opinion. Then after speaking to a friend I learned of The Piercing Bodz who are located ... read more

Crooked smile

Around Christmastime when I was 18, I decided it was time for a change. I needed to add to my forever-growing repertoire of body mods. I already had my septum pierced and wanted to add to my work in progress that I like to call my corpse. My septum piercing was a 'please stop running away now, k thanks' gift from my mother. It took place in my filthy garage by a big biker dude who does tattoos. Piercing was obviously not his forte! He had me sit in a plastic lawn chair and looked very befuddled by his shiny ... read more
