Finally!!

I remember when I was nine years old, I used to sit at home with my mum looking through the Argos catalogues and seeing the tongue bars and body jewelery. I used to sit there and say "thats what I'm having when I get mine pierced". My mum would just laugh, I suppose she thought I was joking but I wasn't. She realised that when I came home from "school" one day with my tongue pierced. As I walked into the studio it was really nerve racking and I was violently shaking, looking back it is actually quite humourous. As ... read more

Not as bad as I thought, but aftercare was terrible!

I should start this by mentioning that I have a few body piercings and am somewhat experienced in the body modification lifestyle. I got my first piercings at 3 and have been pierced 9 times (4 earlobe, 1 cartilage, nostril, bilateral nipples and navel) since then. I'd wanted a tongue piercing for a long time and finally decided to go through with it this past month. I was in the middle of a summer internship at a hospital when I made the decision to get my tongue pierced as soon as it ended. The day the internship ended, off to ... read more

After a year wait

Piercings and body modifications have always been my calling, ever since I was a little girl. I would go with my mom and sister to get their tattoos done and from an early age I always asked for piercings. But having the dad I have it was always an automatic no. But more to the point my parents split and I went out and got a tongue piercing about a year ago, and even though my mom approved of most body mods this one was a big "NO!". So I had to take it out, and you have no idea ... read more

New Venoms - Don't Jump...

Ok so here it goes.. first off, I got the center of my tongue pierced when I was 15, (self done, with a dry wall nail & mouth wash & bare hands..DON'T TRY AT HOME! ) but thats another story, today I'm going to tell you about my venoms ( two piercings, one on each side of the tongue ).. I went to Enchanted Dragon, located in Arnold Missouri, just browsing for another tattoo really.. Then the piercer asked if she could help me.. I thought for a moment & got the wild idea to say yah.. I'd like to ... read more

after 16 piercings, finally got the cahones to get my tongue pierced.

I'm writing in about my tongue piercing because for some funny reason, it was the one I was the most squikked out about and the one that has been the most interesting sensory journey for me so far(for reference - the others are 6 ear piercings, 2 nipple piercings, 1 navel, 1 hood, 6 labia). Mostly I got this one done because I've always been intrigued about my simultaneous phobia and fascination about the particular piercing, and life is about challenges, eh? Plus one of these days I might want to get all girly and match my tongue, navel, and ... read more

You know that little thing beneath your tongue?

Living Canvas in Winter Haven, Florida is my body mod shop of choice and recommend them for any tattoo or piercing you may have in mind. With that being said, I work in a professional environment and already have several concealable piercings. I was itching for another piercing and Brittany had already pierced my helix flawlessly. Seeking a new concealable piercing was becoming tedious until I came across the tongue web, or tongue frenulum, and was instantly intrigued. I let Brittany know that I was interested but as a semi-new piercer I wanted her to have a chance to research ... read more

My Tongue Piercing

About three weeks ago, I decided that I really wanted to get my tongue pierced. I ran the idea by my mom, and seeing as I'm only 15, she said no. I decided to drop the subject for a couple of days, knowing her pretty well. I knew she'd bring it up again on her own and tell me what her reasons for saying no were. About 4 days later, we saw my neighbor, Chad. I've always known deep down that Chad had his tongue pierced, but I never actually thought about it. He yawned, and with the idea of ... read more

Too tongue tied for a tongue piercing?!

About a year ago, the only piercings I had done were my lobes. I don't even count that for the mere fact that when I had them done I was a year old. After working up a lot of nerve I decided to get my navel done, which then led to 4 cartilage piercings, navel-piercing redone and a tattoo. I always thought I'd stop there, until I had the urge to pierce something again. I never had any clue about what I really wanted to get pierced. I wanted something demure, nothing over the top and something easy to hide. ... read more

My Tongue Piercing !

I've got a tongue piercing! It was pierced by Ayla, the apprentice of Hetty of BodyDesign (Ghent, Belgium). I wanted to get pierced by her, because it seemed like a special experience: being pierced by someone who is not yet completely familiar with the procedure. And besides that it seemed interesting to see how the procedures really goes. You know, when you go to a experienced piercer, it's a kind of routine: mark the spot, put the clamps on, get the needle ready, put the needle through, put the jewel through, done. But with the apprentice, I really lived through ... read more

tongue web - second time around

I've already had a tongue web piercing before - maybe about half a year ago, but the barbell fell out and the holes closed up before i could get it back in. But I can say for a fact, that I am absolutely in love with the tiny, secret, piece of metal hidden under my tongue. I decided maybe a week ago to re-pierce my tongue web. I had been missing it for a long time, but never really got around to it. So yesterday, I finally did it. Yes, it was a DIY piercing, and though I don't reccomend ... read more
