helix

I have always felt very strongly about being my own person, and doing whatever that entails in my mind. Moving from a small town to Toronto in order to go to art school not only helped me grow as a person, but also feel more comfortable in my growths- until I could not imagine being anything else than what I am today. This is, in my mind, the biggest highlight for any serious person getting any sort of body modification: you just know, innately, that this is the right thing to do, and you can't imagine not doing it. For ... read more

Why not to be tempted by cheap piercers

Okay, so I've never, ever, EVER considered EVER going to a mall piercer before. I KNOW it's stupid, and I KNOW that it probably won't end well... however, KNOWING all of this, I still made the stupid and went and got punctured at Cosmetics Plus. Please don't judge, I'm adding this as an account of a piercing gone wrong. I have five piercings - used to be six, but I retired my labret - and all of them were done in a highly professional studio here in Cairns. I LOVE Cairns Tattoo and Body Piercing. They know their stuff, truly. ... read more

freshly stretched goodness

Before I begin, here is a little about myself. My name is Kaitlin and I am sixteen. My lobes are at 5/8g and I still have not yet completed all the body modifications I desire. I plan on stretching up to 1 inch and beyond, and piercing my own septum. I come from a town full of walking cliches, awful trends and all around normality. Those circumstances do not really influence most people to consider body modification. In my case, I hate the idea of conformity. I am completely fascinated with body modification, but it was not always like that. ... read more

Vertical Tragus report

So, I'd wanted a new piercing in my ear for a while and started looking around at what I could have done. I already had a horizontal tragus in my left ear, and an industrial, and at first I was toying with a conch but then I came across the vertical tragus on BME and I knew I had to have it in my right, as I really love vertical piercings! I have vertically pierced nipples and I like the way the vertical tragus sits in the ear with the balls at the top and bottom, so I contacted a ... read more

Couldn't Have Gone Better

My friend Allison and I had been itching to get pierced for the past few weeks and had been researching back and forth during our work days on which direction to go. After reading a few stories online and looking at Google Images for a solid few hours, we both decided on getting our tragus(es) done. We both felt they were a flattering and unique mod that could be both noticeable but not overwhelming for a first needle-piercing experience. I'm an avid user of the networking site Nexopia, so I browsed the Ethical Safe Body Modification forum for advice on ... read more

The anticipation is worse than the piercing!

I'm just a normal guy. That's a little lie; I'm actually just a normal gay guy, who has always had something of an interest in piercings ranging from the mundane though to the obscure. My interest was only ever that though; and although I often thought about getting something simple pierced, perhaps just my ear, I knew I would never actually ask my mum if I could! I'm sure plenty of people have been there... Anyway, I left home and went to Uni; discovered BMEzine, and explored the vast array of possibilities available. I was free to do as I ... read more

A great day.

This is my lovely story about my beautiful tragus piercing. It is kind of long and not to fascinating, but if you would like to learn about my piercing experience, then continue on! Ever since I have been exposed to piercings and tattoos, they have interested me very much and I wanted to experience these things for myself. When I was before the age of one, just a baby, my mother started my piercing experience with plain and simple regular ear piercings. After this, during high school I added to my collection with a second hole in each ear and then ... read more

sup tragus!

I've always wanted my tragus pierced, but the morning a few years ago when i went to get it, I chickened out and didn't end up getting it. I watched my friend get hers pierced with a gun, which I would never even think of, and she said even that hurt so I couldn't even imagine what it would be like with a needle. After that I just kind of forgot about it, except the times I've walked past people who had them, thought about how amazing they looked. But I'd started thinking about it more, finally got a job ... read more

"You know how bad that thing's gonna hurt?" a vertical industrial.

It started a month ago. It was my average day in the snack bar at the pool I work at. I was working with a good friend of mine. We'll call her Alli. She was talking about how she was getting a tattoo soon so I recommended she check out Cheap Trx, as I had such great experiences there in the past (all with piercing but I love the staff and I've seen their tattoo work as well - it's excellent). She said it sounded good and we got to discussing piercings. Alli only had her lobes pierced at this ... read more

My Favourite Piercing (Industrial)

Of my five piercings, my second and also my favorite was my ear industrial. At this point I had only had my tongue pierced, and being over three years ago i was still in school. I live in Sydney, Australia, and trust my piercings only with Lord of the Jewels. There are a few of them in Sydney, but Chatswood is by far the closest to me. They have a very professional, surgically clean environment, and i find the price good and the service even better. I've since forgotten her name, but the old Piercer at this Studio has done ... read more
