So I decided to get my ears pierced because it was something I had wanted for a long time, i didn't want to spend money to get it done so I had my brother do it, he has had a ton of experience piercing various parts on his friends so I trusted him he pierced my ear and I was surprised that there was no pain during the process at all except for the soreness afterward. I experimented with different types of earrings for a while and then I discovered that people can stretch their ears and its a relatively ...

I have been interested in tattooing and piercing since I went with my mum about 5-6 years ago to have my name tattooed on her wrist, from that moment I was hooked. I would spend as much time as I could researching and reading about different piercings and tattoos people have had done and how it has helped them get through difficult stages in their life. I have always known that I wanted to be apart of this culture and in turn it be apart of me. When I was just thirteen I decided that I wanted an industrial... very ...

I've always been very interested in piercings. My family, mainly my dad, has always been very against them. Getting him to agree to get my lobes pierced a second time was tough, let alone anything "out of the ordinary". Eventually I got my nose, tragus, and most recently, my daith pierced. I generally have to do a lot of research on them first, a rule I gave to myself so that I know for sure that its a piercing I want to get. I also have a bleeding disorder, which tends to make this a more complicated endeavor than I ...

Ever since I was younger (about 5th grade id say) id always wanted to get an ear piercing, I mean why not my older brother/most of my friends had them, but alas my parents never wanted me to become one of the people in that "crowd". So I bid my time and just let it sit at the back of my mind for a couple years. The years passed and I was now in high school. Getting involved in the music scene re-kindled my interest in ear piercings but now I noticed stretched lobes. Going to local shows and playing ...

I got my Industrial Piercing on October 3rd, 2009. I went to Planet Ink in Downtown Ottawa. They welcomed me into the shop, it was extremely clean. Because I'm only 14 another place wouldn't give me this piercing. So I went and filled out the papers, and bought H2Ocean, a cleaning product for the aftercare, I recommend this to every and any one. It was only 15 dollars for me. After I finished filling in everything and paid for the piercing and aftercare I was introduced to my piercer, Juliette. She herself had a few piercings and tattoos but seemed ...

Ok, so I am one of those girls who got her ears pierced at the mall when she was seven, and then as she got older started neglecting to wear earrings in them. Yeah, I know. What's the point in having them if you're never going to wear earrings? Anyways, I moved to a new school my freshman year of high school and started seeing a bunch of girls with their ears pierced and my best friend (a huge influence in who I am today) who had three lobes in each ear and a cartilage in one. For holidays and ...

So, I guess I'll start out by introducing myself a little. I've loved piercings since I was young. It was a fascination that my dad hated, but one that my mom had no issue with. As she saw it, I was a well-behaved kid, got excellent grades without her even having to make sure I did my homework or studied, and I didn't ask for much and all of this has continued through college. So, a piercing, just on the ear, isn't that big of a deal to her. My mom's one of those that you definitely don't cross if ...

I had gotten both of my conches done before, and both I had taken both out due to scarring on the back. However after thinking for a while I decided to just go ahead and try it again. Living in NYC there are a bunch of small parlors that seem a little sketchy, but so cheap. I was down near 6th ave earlier today when I saw a parlor that I had walked by numerous times before. It is a pretty modern looking shop, clean and I have usually seen a person or two in there. I went in, waited ...

When I was a bit younger, 3 years ago to be exact, I got an industrial piercing on my right ear as a whim. At this point I didn't really know a lot about industrials and the piercer had positioned the piercing a little too high in my ear. That has been one thing that bugged me in the back of my head all this time but otherwise I love love love my first industrial. So fast forward to present day... Now I'm in college and I'm seeing all these people with industrial piercings just like mine. I wanted to ...

Ahh, the saga of my industrial. This is a story that isn't particularly interesting, as my ear hasn't turned green and fallen offbut it was a grand experience for me, and hopefully, other people can have as pleasant an experience as my own. I've wanted an industrial for, oh I don't know, ages. I've always found that they're piercings that can be a bit different, yet not completely wild. Living in a culture where self expression and body modification is usually discouraged, I figured that an industrial would be the perfect piercing for me. I was fifteen when I first ...
