My reasoning behind getting my industrial...

I have been interested in tattooing and piercing since I went with my mum about 5-6 years ago to have my name tattooed on her wrist, from that moment I was hooked. I would spend as much time as I could researching and reading about different piercings and tattoos people have had done and how it has helped them get through difficult stages in their life. I have always known that I wanted to be apart of this culture and in turn it be apart of me. When I was just thirteen I decided that I wanted an industrial... very ... read more

My less than painful daith

I've always been very interested in piercings. My family, mainly my dad, has always been very against them. Getting him to agree to get my lobes pierced a second time was tough, let alone anything "out of the ordinary". Eventually I got my nose, tragus, and most recently, my daith pierced. I generally have to do a lot of research on them first, a rule I gave to myself so that I know for sure that its a piercing I want to get. I also have a bleeding disorder, which tends to make this a more complicated endeavor than I ... read more

My First Piercing

Ever since I was younger (about 5th grade id say) id always wanted to get an ear piercing, I mean why not my older brother/most of my friends had them, but alas my parents never wanted me to become one of the people in that "crowd". So I bid my time and just let it sit at the back of my mind for a couple years. The years passed and I was now in high school. Getting involved in the music scene re-kindled my interest in ear piercings but now I noticed stretched lobes. Going to local shows and playing ... read more

My amazing industrial

I got my Industrial Piercing on October 3rd, 2009. I went to Planet Ink in Downtown Ottawa. They welcomed me into the shop, it was extremely clean. Because I'm only 14 another place wouldn't give me this piercing. So I went and filled out the papers, and bought H2Ocean, a cleaning product for the aftercare, I recommend this to every and any one. It was only 15 dollars for me. After I finished filling in everything and paid for the piercing and aftercare I was introduced to my piercer, Juliette. She herself had a few piercings and tattoos but seemed ... read more

First (and second) cartilage...and more to come...

Ok, so I am one of those girls who got her ears pierced at the mall when she was seven, and then as she got older started neglecting to wear earrings in them. Yeah, I know. What's the point in having them if you're never going to wear earrings? Anyways, I moved to a new school my freshman year of high school and started seeing a bunch of girls with their ears pierced and my best friend (a huge influence in who I am today) who had three lobes in each ear and a cartilage in one. For holidays and ... read more

Stretching Earlobes to (19mm)

I began the ear lobe stretching process roughly 2 years ago when I was 15 years old. I was inspired by a sense of difference and acceptance to get my ears pierced and stretched when I was younger, and to my surprise my mother took me to get my ears pierced even though she hates the look of stretched ear lobes. I waited the suggested 6 weeks before changing out the jewelry, and as soon as the wait was over I bought a pair of 12g tapers. Over the course of a week I worked the 12g tapers into my ... read more

The saga of a conch

I graduated in the summer from uni and decided to reward myself with a piercing ( I did this for my GCSE's – upper helix and A levels – Tongue) and after four years worth of study it was time for another one, so I decided to get my conch done as it was the next piercing I wanted to add to the collection. Nice and early on a Saturday morning I headed down to the studio because most people aren't out of their beds then and there's much less of a wait time for just coming in of the ... read more

Fate was good to me - Double conch at last!

My first piercing happened at the age of 11 -- my mom pierced my ears with an at-home piercing kit. I had always told myself that I would never go crazy and get anything else done. Then a year ago I started with getting my lip pierced on the right side, and the piercing bug definitely bit. The lip, three cartilage, another set of lobes, and the tongue all got pierced within one year, but those are all other stories. I had planned on getting an orbital on my upper right ear and then a helix half-way up on the ... read more

Story of a failed cartilage piercing

I was at the point in my life where I had just left home and wanted to do something that I would not normally have been allowed to have done if I had still lived at home. I decided to get my cartilage pierced after just having second holes in my ears. A lot of girls at university had them and I liked the way that they looked. I chose to have the piercing at a clothing store that also does professional body piercing. I had heard a lot of good things about them so knew it was the place ... read more

DIY Lobe (Anti-Slip piercing)

My Second DIY Experience (on ME this time!) I say second DIY experience, though technically didn't do this COMPLETELY by myself... So it's been a few months since my last piercing, a Christina done three months ago just before my Graduation. I'm looking in the mirror admiring my recent stretching success and missing my recently departed transverse lobes and I think, cant I have something to replace them? Now Ive got pretty fleshy lobes as it is but I've decided I don't want to stretch my bottom or second holes anymore than I already have. I notice that there's quite ... read more
