Ear Stretching, ahoy!

I initially had my ears pierced in 5th grade, doubles in 6th, and cartilage in 9th. Unfortunately, my cartilage was done with a gun at Claire's(I know, I know. Don't start yapping.) and it never really healed properly. It was extremely sensitive all the time and my ear just didn't look good with any earring in it. So, after a long time of 'just dealing with it,' I finally took it out. Well, now I thought my ears were just boring, so I got the bright idea to start stretching my left ear (the one that had the cartilage piercing). ... read more

Taking Care Of An Old Problem

Years ago, as a teen, I had wanted to get my ears pierced. Piercing anything, including ear lobes, was frowned upon by my very conservative and religious family. I begged and pleaded and after begging some more, my parents finally gave in and took me to a Doctor one Saturday morning. The Doctor pierced a hole in each of my lobes with two very thick needles sitting in a paper cup filled with rubbing alcohol. I was so happy to have my new piercings that I didn't even care that it hurt bad and that I fainted right after the ... read more

new tastes

About one year ago I had my conch punched with a 0 dermal biopsy punch which was my most extreme mod at the time. now had been contemplating doing this for years and years and had heard all the stories about how terrible conch punches are and how nobody would ever want to go through it again, so yes, I was scared. I wanted to pee my pants. I went in as planned to see my body modification artist for the procedure but was taken off gaurd when there was someone I did not recognize in the shop. He was ... read more

My rejected rook.

I recently decided that it was time to get a new ear piercing and initially thought of the "snug" piercing, but my local piercers couldn't pierce that as they didn't use curved barbells, so I thought of the next piercing I wanted; a Rook piercing. I went down to piercers knowing that it would cost me £20 for this piercing and done the usual signing of the form before I was directed to the chair. I have a usual piercer who has pierced 6 of my other piercing's so he new not to give me the talk about aftercare. He ... read more

My New Rook

I just want to start out my story by saying that I've always wanted piercings and tattoos since I met my biker uncle. He has all of these awesome tattoos all over and I think he's just the most awesome guy ever. He was my inspiration for entering the body mod world. I just love the way they look. Anyways, I already have 3 lobes on each ear and 2 helixes on my right ear. I also have a tongue piercing that I got on a whim when my friend decided she wanted to get her tongue pierced and wanted ... read more

My lovely little tragus.

Today I turned 16. This morning I took my learners permit test, (100%, high fives for me) handed in school work (MUCH overdue I might add,) took my doggie for a long walk, and ultimately completed a whole lot of things I've been meaning to, but haven't found the time to do. All of these things are irrelevant however; as the most exiting thing I did today was get my tragus pierced. A brief piercing history, my ears are pierced 7 times (now) all over the shop, couple up the top, double lobes, my navel is pierced, and I've retired ... read more

My tiny stretching experience

I've always wanted to have modestly stretched ears. My ears have been pierced since I was eleven, done at Claire's. I had them pierced with a piercing gun, which isn't the best method. Luckily, it was uncomplicated and I had no scar tissue. So, back seven or eight months ago, I attempted to dead stretch from an 18ga to 14ga, using some stainless steel circular barbells I'd borrowed from my best friend. Not a good idea. I tried for weeks, and my ears just became inflamed, swollen and lumpy. Fast forward to a month or two ago, my best friend ... read more

5/8" to 7/8" Lobe Scalpelling - Not too bad!

BACK STORY: My goal has been to reach 1" lobes for awhile now. I'm sure this is how most of these stories start out. Anyway, I started stretching my lobes in grade 9 or so but never really planned to go large until around three years ago. That's when I knew I wanted to reach at least 1" and get that certain shape of the ear I love so much. When the side starts to round out away from the normal curve of the ear. So lovely. My ears made it to 3/4" with some abuse along the way but ... read more

My amazing industrial

I got my Industrial Piercing on October 3rd, 2009. I went to Planet Ink in Downtown Ottawa. They welcomed me into the shop, it was extremely clean. Because I'm only 14 another place wouldn't give me this piercing. So I went and filled out the papers, and bought H2Ocean, a cleaning product for the aftercare, I recommend this to every and any one. It was only 15 dollars for me. After I finished filling in everything and paid for the piercing and aftercare I was introduced to my piercer, Juliette. She herself had a few piercings and tattoos but seemed ... read more

First (and second) cartilage...and more to come...

Ok, so I am one of those girls who got her ears pierced at the mall when she was seven, and then as she got older started neglecting to wear earrings in them. Yeah, I know. What's the point in having them if you're never going to wear earrings? Anyways, I moved to a new school my freshman year of high school and started seeing a bunch of girls with their ears pierced and my best friend (a huge influence in who I am today) who had three lobes in each ear and a cartilage in one. For holidays and ... read more
