was 15, I started to explore the art of piercing. Ever since my first body piercing which was the belly button, I've been wanting to get more. But the thing I didn't like about body piercings was that once you got something it would be a fad and other kids would get it and i wouldn't be original anymore. I wanted to be unique and make a statement about myself. I just wanted to be unique and express myself through piercings. I was thinking up somethings I could pierce that would be bizarre and crazy. I was going for "oh-my-god-look-at-her" look. After seeing a prostitute or porn star from the guest of Howard Stern having her neck pierced.. Ever since that I've been wanting to get that done. I was only 16 at the time when I wanted it and I knew my parents would NEVER consider letting me get one. During those times though I worked my way to getting piercings all over my ears, my eyebrow, lip, tongue, both nipples, belly button, hand web, and the clit/hood ring. By then I was 18. I was debating over which studio to get my madison done at. But before even doing that, I was doing some research on the Madison piercings. I was somewhat dissappointed that 9 out of 10 times the madison will reject. But I really didn't care. I wanted it so badly and it looked so beautiful. I just had to have it. After finally selecting a studio, I was really happy to see that they were very professional. They even asked me for an ID which most studios I've been too never really bothered. So I knew I was at a good place to do it. I wasn't nervous at all when I entered the piercing room. Mikel was very nice, and he talked through it so that I wouldn't be surprised at any sudden moves he might go into. He cleaned my neck, the area where he'd pierce. Then he told me to stand up so that he could mark me and see where would be the appropriate area for the piercing to be at. He marked me at least twice. once it wasn't really straight, and the 2nd time he even got out a ruler and measured it out and everything. He told me to take a look in the mirror to see if the place where he marked was okay with me. I was happy with it. But before all that I had to choose the jewelry he'd put. We both decided on the jewelry to be the nylon barbell since it's flexible and easiar on my piercing to go through the healing process. Although it looks ugly and so plain and agreed to it. I sat back down on my chair leaned my head back that looked like one of those chairs you would see in a dentist room. So neways he got out clamps, and needles from a fresh new package where he opened in front of me and he clamped the area where he'd pierce me. He told me to take a deep breathe and talked me through it step by step on what was going on. He then quickly sticked the needle in and slipped the jewelry in. I honestly didn't feel a thing. and I looked in the mirror to see my new piercing. I can honestly say that I totally fell in love with it. He thought he did a great j9ob on the piercing as well so he told me to sit still so that he could add my piercing in his piercing portfolio. I looked through his book and I was so glad that I got pierced by him because his customers had on such perfect piercings. I even saw a couple of madisons. They looked great. So I left the studio feeling happy, and showed it off every way possible. It's been about 3 weeks now since the piercing, and I clean it at least 2 times a day with the cleaning solution the studio gave me. The pain is barely there. People tell me if it rejects I'm going to be stuck with a huge scar on my neck, but a scar is something that i'm okay with and will accept when the time comes. But if you're willing to accept the rejecting/scarring part then i say get the freaking piercing because if you're like me, you'll fall in love with it. out of all 21 piercings i have, this one is my favorite. People give me weird looks... somethings dirty ones but they can go shove it and rotate it. If you want to know any other questions on either the Madison or other piercings I mentioned feel free to email me at [email protected]
