Absolutely LOVE them
I had both of my nipples pierced on April 4th at Impaled in Marquette, MI by Cheff and Michelle. It had been 2.5 years since my last piercing and had decided it was time for another. My main reason for getting them pierced was because they had very very little sensation in them. Which could be very frustrating at times. I had two friends that had both of their nipples pierced that loved them. They were like me and had very little sensitivity in their nipples. I also talked to as many people as I could that has/had them to get their experiences. I had sat through an hour long tattoo by Michelle before getting them done so by the time it got around to having them done I wasn't all that nervous. I had had my tongue pierced there also 2.5 years previously by another piercer that is no longer there.
After getting all of the paperwork out of the way, i.e. consent forms and all that fun, responsible stuff; Cheff took me into the piercing room and closed the door and had me take my shirt and bra off so he could mark me up. I think I was more nervous about a guy I didn't know seeing me topless than I was about getting my nipples pierced. He put me at ease though right away by cracking jokes left and right. He explained all of their safety and sanitization procedures and showed me the everything was new in it's own package. He explained how everything was sanitized in their autoclave and that they sent samples in to get tested once a month for bacteria checks and that in the 9 years they have been in business not once has there ever been any.
After he marked me up he had Michelle come into the room so we could get down to the actually piercing. Michelle is the owner of the shop and typically just does tattoos now but was nice enough to assist with this piercing, for which I am very thankful for. I layed down on the table as they each got their clamps adjusted correctly and coordinated everything with each other and on the count of 3 I had two pierced nipples. I didn't flinch, cry, or scream but it hurt like hell. Cheff was very proud of me because of my restraint. He made fun of himself by saying he cried like a baby when he had his done. Cheff put in the jewelry for me (I have barbells), cleaned me up, and helped me get my bra and shirt back on and I was on my way.
I took some pain meds about and hour later and that was the only time I ever took them. I wish someone had had a camera to catch on film me driving. I must have looked rediculous. I was so paranoid about the seat belt brushing them or me brushing them with my arms that I don't even know how I managed to drive. I had very very little bleeding. I was afraid to touch them for the first day but got over it quickly. I slept with a padded bra on for the first few days. They were super sensitive without one and the added support and protection was nice.
I washed them twice a day with soap and water and that was it. I know a lot of people recommend sea salt soaks but I only did them a couple times as I wasn't instructed to do so. They have healed really nice, well as healed as they can be in a month. I've had only very little discharge from my left nipple only. I'm also really glad that I got them pierced with the barbells as I think rings would be easier to catch on things.
One month later my nipples are still very sensitive. It is absolutely amazing to me that I can feel sensations through a padded bra. I never would have before, it would have been unthinkable. This was by far my most painful piercing but also my most favorite. I'd recommend it to anyone, especially if you don't have sensitive nipples now...it improves the sensitivity ten fold! It's so rediculous to me that I feel proud of my piercings. I just love to look at them. The first two days all I wanted to do was look in the mirror. The only "downside" to them is that you always have perky nipples so unless you want them seen be one and all you pretty much have to rely on padded bras to hide them.
With my nipple piercings going so well I think the next thing on my list to get done will be my hood.
My best advice to anyone planning on getting any piercings is to find someone with experience and make sure they are CLEAN! It is so easy to screw up piercings, so do your research before hand.
