"Hell yes it hurt"
Subject: "Did it hurt"? "Hell yes it hurt" One man's nipple piercing. From: "Ogre" (Ogre@Worldnet.att.net) Newsgroups: rec.arts.bodyart Date: 30 Aug 1996 14:57:59 GMT
It has been storming everyday for about a week here. Which is o.k. with me, the rain is sort of like nature's own symphony and is very soothing. And then yesterday when I awoke with the sun shining bright and the birds singing, I knew that this was the perfect day for a piercing. I got up showered, had some breakfast, and gathered all the piercing FAQs that I have printed and read all again over a bowl of Clusters (I love Clusters).
I couldn't help but feel a little sick with anticipation, so I had to get up and do something to calm my nerves. Everyone knows that the waiting is the hardest part, but deffinately one of the most fun. I told my girlfriend around 12:45 p.m. to get ready that the time was nearing. And by 1:15 p.m. she was ready to go. We hoped in the car and headed downtown.
There was a nice breeze blowing, it felt too good to be August. And again I thought that this was deffinately the perfect day to get pierced. Fifteen minutes later we arrive at out destination and the butterflies in my stomach had transformed into a swarm of bumblebees. My head was swimmimg with nervousness, and I couldn't help but smile and think to myself, "here I go again". I filled out the necessary paper work and five minutes later I was sitting on an inclined table with my shirt off and some very cold liquid Betadine being applied to both nipples. And I think to myself, "did I say that I wanted both nipples done at the same time? What was I thinking"? The piercer was very straight forward, a no-nonsense kinda "You ready?" kinda guy. Which to me is kind of a pisser, becouse this is something that is very special and ceremonial. And after severial attempts to make him smile I just gave up and let him do his job.
A felt tip pen marked both nipples on both sides to insure accuracy, and then those damn forceps (I hate those damn things for some reason). And before I knew it he was asking me if I was ready. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, and on my exhale whispered, "Yes". Visions of the storms that had been raging all week came streaming back to me with all the violent lightning and explosive thunder. I could feel the adrenalin start to title wave through me, while beautiful fireworks exploded with brilliant purples and and greens and reds. And I think somewhere within the two seconds that it took before it was all over I muttered under my breath some sort of obsinity. The first was over, I couldn't do anything but lie there and giggle like a little boy drunk on my adrenalin. And before I knew it I was being prept for the right nipple. He sternly looked at me and asked, "Do you still want the other done"? And I bravely barked back, "Go for it". And giving him a look like, "You might be holding the niddle buddy, but you don't scare me". And with a blink of an eye I was thrown back onto that speeding rollercoaster of sensation, and loving everybit of it. But before I could focus and ride the speeding train down its bumpy track, it was over and I was being told what to do to care for my two brand new piercings. I paid the man and left. Back out in the sun my girlfriend grabbed my hand and asked, "Did it hurt"? "Hell yes it hurt. But pain is such a rush", I replied with a smile.
Thanks for reading my story, and I recommend getting your nipples pierced to everyone.
