I can't believe I did it

a few weeks of All-star cheerleading practice I got to meet lots of people from different town, but there was this one chick who had her belly button and tongue pierced. My first thought was "wow, how cool" Now this chick was like me..athletic but not the super skinny six pack type of girl so I thought to myself if she can do it why can't I to top it all of my conceited skinny woosy cousin had it pierced so that really made me think "Man I can do this." I immediately started what I called a "BELLY FUND" After I raised enough money ( I had to eat ugly school foor for about two weeks ) which was 65 dollars (if I had gotten a ring it would have been 55) I had a long one on one talk with my Mom.I actually cried and I'm 16 yrs old. It wasn't one of those mommy I want it kinda nagging but a I really deserved it kinda thing. I told her I had raised all the money myself so after about a month she finally said yes although she was really against it. The Monday after Christmas we finally went. I asked them what I had to do since I wasn't 18. All I had to do was go get a paper signed my a notary and it was cool. Right away I made my Mom go find a notary and then she dropped me off.(Since she didn't want to watch.) There was other people in line but I guess since I was the first to give my paper work it was cool that I was going first. A girl I had been talking to there was kinda scaring me. She said she had had her tongue pierced there but was so scared to pierce her navel cause of stories she had heard about how much it hurt. Another girl was there talking to me,I guess she was going after me so I could give her moral support and tell her how it was. I thought the guy was gonna take me into another room but to my surprise he did it right behind the counter. It was funny cause a guy next to me was getting a tattoo and he was just laughing cause I was so scared. I guess besides being really clean the only thing that made me feel better was the fact that I had done so much research on getting my navel pierced and a frog soap dispenser the guy used to wash his hands with being that I have the exact soap dispenser at home. He 1st talked to me about what he was gonna to and then he told me to stand up so he could clean the area and mark where he was gonna make the holes. He then put the little clasp thingy's on my belly and asked me to hold them. Then I laid down. He asked me if I wanted him to tell me when he was gonna do it and I was like no way. He told me to take a deep breath and after I did I felt a sharp push of the needle going through. I knew he was done but then he told me "that's just the beginning its gonna hurt a lot more." I got real scared but not even 10 seconds later he told me he was done. I had to watch him throw away all the stuff he used and I even had to sign a paper that I indeed did watch him throw everything away. On my way home it was bleeding quite a bit but I just cleaned it with the solution the guy gave me. I even got my pants a little bloody but Ive been cleaning it when ever I can and Ive even been taking vitamins like the guy told me. He said it would help the healing process. I cant wait for it to heal so I can change it to a glow in the dark barbell. It didn't hurt as much as I expected and I encourage anyone who is thinking about to go out and get it done. Its only been a day but I clean it whenever I can and it doesn't look ugly like people I know who have done it themselves or have had UN professional people do it. So if your interested go and get it done by a professional and don't worry its not all that scary. I wanna go get my tongue pierced now but i know my mom will say no..but hey she can't stop me when i turn 18....Oh yeah my boyfriend loves my new belly button and I cant wait to wear our little top cheerleading uniforms to show of my new piercing.
