Trish gets pierced at 14!! navel

ef = "/cgi-bin/vote/votec.cgi?/pierce/07-navel/990715/navtrish.html">

My navel has been pierced for about 36 hours now. When my consistent begging finally made my mother give in and let me get my navel pierced I was so incredibly happy I couldn't wait. I decided to wait until my friend Stacy could come with me and get hers done also so when she came to me last week and told me she had enough money to get pierced we called the place to make an appointment immediately. Our appointment was for Friday, July 9th at 3:00 p.m.

That morning I got up and took a shower and cleaned my navel really well and made sure I wore clothes that wouldn't irritate my new piercing. My mom, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, and my little brother all went to pick Stacy up from work around 2:50 and then we went to HairWorld. Mind you that this isn't just a hair salon, the lady that owns the place (Jennifer) is a RN and also does piercing.

When we got there we had to fill out forms and Stacy had to call her dad at work so her could talk to the guy at the desk and make sure it was all right for them to pierce her. After that Jennifer came out and talked to us and even showed us her navel because she had hers pierced also. We picked out the jewelry and Jennifer went to have it sterilized. I chose a 14 gauge purple niobium CBR. Stacy chose a ring almost exactly like mine, but hers was blue and it was a bit smaller in size, not in gauge though.

Jennifer came back out and asked who was going first. We had already established that Stacy would go first because I'm a chicken. Stace went into the piercing room with Jennifer and they closed the door behind them. My family and I were just sitting out in the waiting room in really comfy couches and chairs when Jennifer stuck her head out of the room and called for her assistant to bring her an orange soda. We were all kinda wondering why she needed an orange soda, but the assistant told us that if she needed soda that meant that Stacy must have gotten dizzy or something. Jennifer came out a few minutes later and told us that Stacy had passed out while she was piercing her and her eyes rolled back into her head and she had to take her blood pressure and pulse to make sure she was all right. I guess she was out for about a minute and Jennifer said that it was the first time that someone actually passed out when she pierced her. The reason Stacy passed out was because it was hot in the room and she hadn't eaten anything that day (that's NOT a good idea!).

Stacy came out and sat on the couch a few minutes later and Jennifer went to get the room ready for me. My mom tried to talk me out of it one last time, but I went right into the room when Jen called me. The walls of the room were plastered with her diplomas and licenses for various things. The chair was like a dentist's chair and it was white. Almost everything in the room was white. It made me feel like I was in the hospital. I hopped up on the chair and Jennifer recited a little speech that she has to say every time before she pierces someone. She told me about her licenses and yadda yadda yadda. I don't even remember half of what she said because I was so excited.

She put gloves on and came over to clean my navel and put the clamps on. She never marked in and out holes though, and that kinda bugged me, but I didn't say anything. The clamps weren't all that annoying, it was just kinda a tugging feeling. She showed me the needle and told me to relax. The whole time she was talking to me and asking if I were all right and etc.. I'm not going to lie, when she was pushing the needle through it hurt like nothing else in my life. It felt like it took forever! I've heard from other people that the needle didn't hurt and it was over in a split second, but this was bad! I didn't scream, I just kept saying "Ouchie, ouchie, ouchie!". I felt really hot and sweaty and finally she told me that she got the ring though. I just relaxed for a minute before she put the ball on the ring. That part wasn't bad at all, it just felt like a little tugging sensation. She cleaned the area again and put some sort of cream on it. She had to keep cleaning out my belly button because it kept filling up with blood. After a few minutes it stopped bleeding and she got me a cup of water to drink and a chocolate for being such a good girl!

I sat there for about 5 minutes and just talked to her before I stood up. I didn't feel dizzy at all. I walked out and showed everyone my newly pierced navel. Stacy had called in to work and told them that she wouldn't be coming back to work because she was sick. My mom paid and she bought some soap that Jennifer recommended. After standing up for a while I did start to get dizzy so I sat down and I had a loud ringing in my ears for some reason. I sat there for about 5 minutes and I couldn't hear, but then I was fine.

We went and got some food and then my parents took Stacy, My boyfriend, and I back to his house. We went to the movies that night and our piercings never bothered us a bit. It was a little sore when I woke up Sat. morning, but I cleaned it and soaked off the crusties and it looked and felt much better. It hasn't bothered me too much so far. Sometimes when I sit down or bend over it will sting a little bit.

I can't wait until it's totally healed. I love showing it off already, I can't wait until it's not red and icky anymore. I'll be sending in some pictures as soon as I get them taken.

Thanks for reading this all.
