Eyebrow 14g barbell curved piercing

This is about my eyebrow piercing experience. This was the second piercing I've ever had, the first I got in grade 3 which was my ear, and I remember I didn't leave that one in for long.

I remember one night last week, I was just lying in my bed when I said to myself, "you know.. I'm gonna get my eyebrow pierced." It was totally random and weird since I have never thought about doing this before. The next day after school I immediately looked in the yellow pages and found a place down town, I phoned and made my appointment in a rush because I knew if I had thought about it too much I would change my mind. I phoned in the appointment tuesday and it was scheduled for saturday at 2pm. After that I phoned my friend who lives in Residence at our university if she would come with me, as I'd feel like a dweeb just walking around downtown all by myself. So we made our plans that I would meet her at school saturday morning and from there we would catch the bus downtown.

During the gap between tuesday and saturday I had almost forgot about the whole thing, occasionally it would pop into my head, I would get nervous and then try to think about something else. I had almost forgot about it completely on friday night and maybe wouldn't have even went Saturday morning if it wasn't for my friend calling and confirming everything with me. So anyway saturday morning came around, my alarm clock went off (immediately I became nervous) I showered, ate breakfast, washed up, got dressed and caught a bus to my school to meet my friend Kelly. We waited there for about 10 minutes until the downtown bus came.

By the time we got downtown it was about 11am, I still had a long wait. We decided to go find where I was getting the piercing first so we wouldn't be in a mad rush trying to find it 10 minutes before 2pm. So anyway I walk up the street, keeping my eyes out for the "Studio Maxx" sign, and there it was. I started to get nervous as the building looked pretty shabby, dirty, and small. But you can't judge a book by it's cover so we walked in to look at the place. Once we got in it wasn't bad at all, just a bit small and crampy. I told the girl at the desk who I was and she popped up and said, "Well we're not busy, did you want to get it done now?" My blood starting rushing but I said yes anyway, I thought it would be better to get it over with instead of thinking about it all morning. So I fill out the release form, take off my coat and walk into this small white room with a big gray chair. I sat in it and then I asked him a bunch of questions, he told me what he was going to do and said all the procedures for cleaning and all that junk.

He drew the dots on my eyebrow, I looked in the mirror and said it was fine. He was now getting ready for the piercing. He had a tray in front of him which had the clamp, the marker, needle, barbell, a box of gloves and maybe some other things which I just don't recall. So I lid back, folded my arms, closed my eyes and took a deep breath. He put the clamp on my eyebrow which didn't really hurt at all. Then he told me he was about the put the needle in, he asked if I was ready and I said yes. It wasn't like a pinch at all I didn't find, it was just like what you would think it would feel like; a stab. I could feel it going through, it was just like getting a big needle. But it wasn't bad at all, I didn't flinch, my eye just started to water a little. Then he took the needle out and put the barbell in, wasn't bad at all, I don't think I even felt the barbell going in, just could feel a bit of movement up there and the remaining sharp burny feeling from the needle. Then he said, "all done!" I got up, looked in the mirror and loved the result, I said my thank yous and walked out of the small white room. I went to the desk and payed the $40.25 and left a $5 dollar tip. I thought the place was really clean, good prices, and the staff was really friendly. I've had the piercing for 4 days now and I love it, I would recommend getting it done!!
