A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Personal Evolution

I’m starting a new series for ModBlog called “Evolution” (so in the future you’ll be able to see all of them by clicking the “evolution” tag). Here are the first eight — more will follow in future entries. The point — as if it’s not obvious — is to show people with prominent facial modifications transitioning from their unmodified form to where they are now, with a picture or two inbetween. Click to zoom them by the way. Without further ado, I bring you…

Vinni, those are all superb ideas, but not really what I’m going for with this series, which is really meant as more of a “quick view”. But it might be great to expand on many of the people featured with dedicated entries that follow your proposition.

These are great! I can’t decide which is my favorite transformation.
That said, and I’m curious how he sees it, but Shannon’s transformation makes me think of a fantasy cycle: callow youth, questing hero, ending in his current ‘learned (maybe a bit crazy) wizard’ look

I wish I could go back in time and show those people a picture of their future self.
Really curious how they would react!
