A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Branding for Math Geek Girls

I really like this at home strike branding that Roo and No_Pants did on Allana using an Allen Key and a stove, because to most it will just look like random scars, but for math geeks… recognize the sequence?

    #22, you’re right – “8″ is a little too close to 7. oh well! i hope to double-brand “1,” maybe… haven’t decided yet.

#27, “34″ will go directly over my knuckles, but i thought hand branding could wait for the second round. symbolism doesn’t require infinity, anyways, though i could get a “…” or the infinity symbol branded along my middle finger…

this idea was “i want lines on my arm, but not evenly spaced” first, and “hey, let’s make it mean something” second. so i’m not going to insist that people get the pattern significance. if i was into the math, i probably would’ve chosen a less arbitrary zero point, too.

    (so, it goes O – 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 7/8 – 13 – 21 thus far. the spacing is from the zero mark, not off each previous number.)

    “Fibbonacci’s Sequence goes as follows:

    1 1 2 4 8 16 32…”

    No, it doesn’t.

    1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34….

It seemes that my spaces got reduced when I posted my last comment.. I hope this works:

    Fibbonacci:
    |_|_|__|___|_____|________|_____________|
    (1 1 2 3 5 8 13)
    The brand:
    |_|_|_|__|__|____|____|
    (1 1 1 2 2 4 4)

i was thinking Fibonacci but i still dont like the spacing then i looked at the ratios between them still did not work out perfect then some one spoke of the 1.618 u realize the spacing between different lines are the same like the 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 4th and 3rd and last well the last set is a lil short but i think with an outstretched hand it will be matching. and the 1st and 3rd lines are the same as the 2nd and last and there are other connections they may be something there
